Deers eating birds  Looks like a sign to the end times to me :eekdance:

One of the best tracks in this game ruined by political correctness. Can some one explain to me why it was offensive?

I don't see anything overtly Muslim, let alone racist about the music. It sounds vaguely asiatic, but that is about it.

Here you go:

http://www.zeldawiki.org/Fire_Temple

In the original version of Ocarina of Time, the Fire Temple's music included a group of men chanting in deep voices. This was removed from later versions of the game by Nintendo due to the fact that it contained Muslim chants. The name of 'Allah' can clearly be heard at one point. Another piece of Arabic that was deciphered was "I bear witness that there is no god but Allah." It was replaced by a MIDI Synthesizer in the remake for later versions.

Uh, I still don't see how it's offensive. It seems to be using Islamic chants in a positive sense. In fact, I think knowing the words improves my appreciation for that track slightly. I could see why fundie Muslims might object, but not the mainstream and more numerous ones.

I've never played Zelda. Is the fire temple evil or something?

No. It is supposed to be a place of worship for a benevolent race of mole people called "Gorons." In the game, the Gorons are imprisoned within the temple by an evil dragon who occupies the lava core under the temple.

Think about it. Hyrule was created by Din, Naryu, and Farore, who are gods other than Allah. This implies that Islam exists in the Zeldaverse and is incorrect.

a very thorough and credible 1987 analysis of the US' failure in the Vietnam war.
