Art is for everyone, which is why so many different types of it exist.
That said, i found nothing in this movie to make me believe that the script was being "simple" whereas the writer really had any ability to present something anywhere near less simple. The characters were horribly pseudo-heroic, and their quotes sounded idiotic (the refference to "medicine" sounded almost braindead, as if medication was something too complicated for the ape-like character to grasp...). Furthermore the presentation of men and women is beyond merely childish.

I do not agree that such a style deserves to exist as "comic". It is far more reasonable to assume that comic creators rarely are good writers, and this is why their scripts are so abysmal. Afterall it probably would be rare to have the same person be both a good writer and a good painter, but i still see no reason why he should be excused for his writing :)

I saw "The Emperor and the Assassin" two days ago. I highly recommend it for those who like historical movies or ancient Chinese history.

I saw Mel Gibson's Apocalypto and it ruled!!! :goodjob:

Certainly the best action / adventure film I've seen in a long time! :)

Watched 7 episodes of Sopranso Series 4. Good.

Saw Curse of The Golden Flower last night.

Very, very weird movie. Exotic scenery and what not. Not too much fighting, which was a let down.

Chow Yun Fat does a great performance.

3/5 stars.

I started watching the Office - first season.
LMAO it's so funny.

Good ol' british comedy. :goodjob:

This weekend I saw X-men The Last Stand. One of the things I liked was that it's supposed to be the last of the X-men movies, which means they had the freedom to do just about anything. You couldn't assume that all of the heroes would survive.

I also saw Lucky Number Slevin which I really enjoyed, I love Bruce Willis.

Watched Casino Royale the other day and it was very good indeed. Daniel Craig was a positive surprise. And Eva Green is so damned sensual!

I saw Rambo 3 last night.

How did you feel afterward? Felt like hoisting the American or British flag and hunting down some o' dem terrists?

By the way, there was a Rambo movie that was made which had Rambo going into Iraq, hunting Saddam, finding him, and fighting him with a sword. The movie was made, but apparently never released. I'm guessing it wasn't released because it was too stupid.

It did make it to Hot Shots Part Deux. ;)
