wouldn't it be nice if we played smth together? like, has that ever happened? or is there at least a steam group or something? I'm online pretty much constantly, but only "playing" the creation kit atm :D

I think an older game that runs on any PC would be a good choice. I would even play PoE with yall, but I don't know whether you can play it co op or together at all.

Did someone mention PoE? I'm Birdjaguar on Steam. Standard or Synthesis? I'm going in game now as Eight_Gates. Whisper if you want to party up for a bit.

There's a Steam group. I don't know if anyone actually uses it.

https://steamcommunity.com/groups/CFCforums

yeah there were like 10 of 500 ppl online, prolly not used too much. my steam ID is skaybestrog

I found cardgame and chukchi huskey

I used to play noquitters matches and it was hot fire, haven't gotten into the new civ add ons though, I only played the base game when I was in korea and me & some other people broke the game and made a thread about t150 space victory (as is custom with me)

i've only played the game for a few hours, t'was just an example of a good game to play co op :) but I'll actually take you up on that offer as soon as I get back into games that aren't skyrim

No problem. I'm quite happy to help you move along faster.

There was a crew that played Left 4 Dead together quite a bunch. @Maniacal and two Scottish guys plus someone else, don't remember if Captain2 was a Scot (pretty sure one of them is still here with the bearded tintin avatar and for some reason I can't remember his username right now* (see this is why keeping relatively steady avatars is important))

other than that I don't think the steam group or cfc ot has had organized gaming sessions together larger than just two individuals.

*meanwhile I haven't even seen maniacal in years, thanks brain, you're so good at useful record keeping, you absolute piece of garbage

Went to a dog park next to a bigger park and a cafe to have dinner and let the little monster run around. For some reason I decided to whip out Pokemon Go for the first time in a year and proceeded to catch a Bulbasaur!

the bearded tintin avatar
If you mean the character to the left on this picture then it's Captain Haddock.

The only Scot that I know of on CFC with a bearded Tintin-character avatar is @Traitorfish.

There was another user whose avatar was Professor Calculus (Doc_Tsoliovsky? (sp?)), but he doesn't seem to be around any more.

Plays origins after so many years. This game is even better than what I remember of it. The camera angles, the controls, the storyline, character relationship, everything flowing so nice and natural. Instead of experimenting on new camera angle and new way to play the game, why don't just stick to what already good? Not only for dragon age sequel, if only games like Divinity original sins 2 use the same camera angle work like origin at least during exploration, it will be a lot more awesome.

I even consider myself to try DAI after this playthrough, I wonder what has Morrigan becomes after the Origins. What a nice series and design, too bad they cannot keep up with the Original!

Did I influence you to start DAO ? ^^

and you made me play Divinity Original Sins 2, took a year after our last conversation before I play it such a huge game with interesting battle system, but I'm not fond of it camera system, it confuses me and the game world seems more casual and less serious and mature as Origins.

I think I know what I will do now, I will revisit the old games instead of thinking what new rpg game will fit me. After Origins I will play DAI (I agreed with most of your argument against it, but in the sense of it somewhat more of sequel to Origins than that Calamity-Dragon Age 2- I will give it a try, and I heard DAI has better exploration than DAO), after that I'm thinking to revisit Knight of the Old Republic, then finish my unfinished business with Revenge of the Sith, after that I can play Witcher 2 then 3, does it sound like a good plan?

It kind of is less serious, there has always been a touch of silliness in Larian games (in fact, DOS2 is by FAR the "most serious" one). But on the other hand, the more you learn about DOS2 world, the darker it gets. I'd say it's actually even darker and grimmer than DAO, with the countless fates worse than death you encounter - at least DAO will leave your soul alone once you're dead :p

Feels weird to consider DAI as an "older game" (my definition of "older game" tends to be the games of the 90s, at best early 2000, I still see Crysis as somewhat contemporary despite it being 12 years old :D), but sounds good.
Though I would just crank the Witcher serie to the first rank.

I ended up swimming to the other side of the river and whistling. She magically teleported.

now I understand I see

My bad, I mean revisit Origins and then continue onward to DAI (the newer one), but the tragic things about DAI is even Origins have a better facial expression, sometime the facial animation of DAI looks so creepy like they kind a possessed by some demon or hiding an evil ulterior motive.

I assume they scourge the old DAO team. Looking at some DAI scene from youtube, I noticed how they want to pictures the Hero of Feralden changes Morrigan's life philosophy, well that's nice but the execution is a total meh, her conversation with Flemeth really sound so un Morrigan, too rhetoric and too whiny. And Flemeth who usually has this cold attitude suddenly becoming wimpy when Morrigan criticizes her motherhood, I mean, loool, isn't Morrigan suppose to be the 100th daughter she raised and used?

Though I would just crank the Witcher serie to the first rank.

You mean I should skip Witcher 2 and go directly to Witcher 3? Or I should play Witcher before DAO?

If You are interested in a story You should not skip any part IMO ;) You can start each part of Witcher with saves from the previous part to get items otherwise unobtainable too ;)

Wow! Like Mass effect? And I realize they made The Witcher Enchanted edition, I finish Witcher 1 long time ago, and really enjoy the storyline, I remember vaguely how I support the elf to fight against the racist imperial human, I think this is what I anticipate in the Witcher 2. Alright, I will start Witcher from the first till the last 3.

Yep ;) The decisions You have made in part 1 will influence characters and situations in part 2 ;) It's nothing very big but still it is better than having Your decisions made by default . For example in part 2 Adda (Foltest daughter) is dead by default unless You use a save from part 1 ;) The conflict between Scoiat'el and The Order of the Burning Rose (?) (Don't know the english name - played polish version :D) matters too . IIRC If You start part 2 without importing a save from 1 You're neutral by default.

Though honestly, while I would never play a ME without the save from the previous game in the serie, it's largely irrelevant in the Witcher case. In fact, I actually prefer to start TW3 without a previous save - there is very little which is actually transfered, and the in-game scene where you define what you actually did in the previous iteration if you don't import a scene is rather cool, so I consider it a net gain to just start from scratch :D

Nah, it's just me which is becoming old enough to have a different expectation with what "old" and "new" games are :D
I don't remember problems with DAI facial expressions, though. ME:Andromeda was a wreck about it, sure, but DAI ?

Depends. If you never played TW2, then it's a pretty cool game that is worth playing. But if you already have, or if you play it and lose interest, I'd say it's better to just jump to TW3.

No I never play TW2, I will start from there, I don't want to miss the character background in Witcher 3

I just saw the funny expression at youtube, well if you said it is alright I believe it should be ok, because I know you will not go easy on the game if you spots a constant nuisance, that's why I trust your judgement ;)
