FWIW the T-55 is still used by a lot of poorer countries around the world that still haven't gotten around to ditching their early Soviet stocks. Angola is still a pretty heavy user of the T-55 and China still has several thousand domestically produced T-55 variants. The choice of t-55 is probably the weirdest of all the units in terms if time frame. It's a slightly (aka 50s instead of 40s, as it's an updated 54) modernized tank, which the 54 was used in /Korea/ to show how old it is. I don't think there's a single army left in the world that still has a 55. Honestly baffling. Given most of the cheap units date from the 60s or 70s, they should have used a 72.

Naw man you need to review cringy videos on Youtube while surfing in CS:GO, that's the only road to success in Youtube 2016.
The original 'regular' Hornet was also a carrier aircraft, not a ground-based fighter.* It was also a completely different aircraft from the Super Hornet which was derived from it; it was much more than a simple upgrade. The problem though with calling them Super Hornets, is that the name itself designates them as carrier fighters. If they converted them for ground based landing gears, they would be just regular Hornets. And the U.S. just has way more Falcons than hornets in general, even including Super (there's only about 500 Super Hornets because you don't need much carrier fighters in the first place). Like on the magnitude of about 1000 to /at least/ 4.5k.

Not sure what they use the F-35 for in game but it's probably a better choice than the F-22. Sure, the F-22 is hands down a better fighter but that's all that it is. It has extremely limited (almost zero) air-to-ground capabilities, whereas the F-35 was designed from the outset to be 'everything for everyone'. It's intended to take over air superiority roles, ground attack roles, VTOL roles and lots of other positions. Whether or not it is going to be truly great at all of those things (rather than mediocre) is anyone's guess at this point.
But if the game is trying to depict a general use fighter, the F-35 or even F-15D/E would have been a better choice than the F-22. Also, the F-22 was produced in very small numbers and is restricted to essentially border patrol/interception around Alaska as the USAF doesn't want to lose them to accidents in conflicts in the middle east.
*Obviously Naval Air Stations are a thing and the fly their aircraft from the ground but the fact that this happens doesn't make either the Hornet or the Super Hornet ground-based fighters. They were both designed for operations from the deck of a carrier.
I bought Sword of the Stars II for my birthday. What a mistake. I can't make heads or tails of the damn game. They took everything that made SotS I great, stripped it away and replaced it with more complicated and unnecessary new mechanics. I can't even watch the Let's Plays on the game to figure it out because even the LP's are terrible.

Ok I'll give it another go. It was really the fleet movement aspect that was driving me nuts, I didn't even want to try any of the other mechanics after that.I felt the same way when I first bought it. And while I still think Sword of the Stars is better than it's sequel, Sword of the Stars II is still a pretty solid game. It just takes some effort to figure things out, which is obviously a huge negative for the game; but once you get over that hump you'll have a blast with it. The thing I hate the most about it though is how fleet movement is handled. It just made for unnecessary micromanagement of fleets at the strategic level. And the words 'micromanagement' and 'strategic level' should never be used in the same sentence. I also was disappointed to see Kerberos abandon the idea of Sword of the Stars being a streamlined 4x game that was easy to play but hard to master, and instead make it more of an overly complicated 4x game that just tries to copy its competitors in terms of complexity and "depth".
Commodore, I hate to say it but that was a really bad second episode. The drilling in the background was murder to my ears, and I really wanted to quit the video halfway because it really did start to hurt. I also know you wanted to not make 45 minute long videos and I respect that, but you literally stopped the video just as the interesting, conflict part of the battle was going to happen. The whole build up of scouting and pressing south led nowhere and felt pretty unsatisfactory. Also, this is the second time your phone went off recording; maybe you should consider silencing it? I mean if it's a work phone for work then yeah I understand if you couldn't but then why record during work?![]()
). Also, the end reminded me how ugly the Florida map is. Water graphics have gone a long way since a decade ago.
