What would your father or Mother do at this point?

"You all have it all wrong about Me. About what I want, about how I hoped you'd behave, about what I think is righteous. That book? Wrong. That holiday? Wrong. That guy who said those things? Close, but wrong. All those wars? Ugh, don't get me started. All of that shi- er, stuff is on you guys. You all made it all up yourselves. Don't put it on my shoulders."

"But, hey, even though you were barking up the wrong tree a lot, it wasn't all bad. Some of that music is great. I like the art and the architecture. The charity and good works are great, the hospitals and universities and homeless shelters and so on. You guys deserve all the credit, no need to praise My name."
You've just summed up a large portion of the 1977 movie Oh, God (starring George Burns and John Denver).

I'm not sure what my Mom and dad have to do with all this...

Well, my dad believes in UFOs and my mother was extremely upset when I "came out" as an atheist. I get the impression she'd rather anything but that, no matter which commandment it broke.

I think it was 20 euros when they visited Latvia 2 years ago iirc.
That sounds rather concrete, not symbolic.

I dare you to read up about on kryon.com. I'm not affiliated with them in any way.
If anyone takes you up on this dare, have the courtesy to stick around and discuss it if they have questions or comments.

The last time someone dared or challenged someone to read/watch something, we had a productive discussion about Shakespeare.

The time before that, I ended up watching FIVE incredibly stupid videos about planets running amok for no reason, and the OP didn't have the courtesy to stay around and reply to my questions and comments.

Guess which situation doesn't impress me?

Dogma is pretty good too.

"Dogma" is a bit of a pejorative word anymore, at least to me. Usually people sling the word around to accuse each other of it rather than openly bragging, "I'm dogmatic".

But who knows...

The Kevin Smith movie, Dogma. :p

No pleasure, no rapture, no exquisite sin greater... than central air.

Holy Bartender!

OK. I have to ask, what does "holy bartender" mean? Who are you replying to and why? It's a pretty cryptic statement for me. I don't even know how to begin to understand the comment?

@ Farmboy:

Pretty equally perplexed by your statement. They both sound sort of like you've both "gone off the deep end" or something. You guys OK?

Either that or maybe I'm just not watching the same movies or TV shows or something you guys are?

Sorry, we're planning a slumber party, it's kinda off track.

If you like Kevin Smith stuff though, Dogma makes some nice points. It's probably worth a watch.

I'm reminded of this lol someone made a few years ago on I Can Has Cheezburger?:

I'm rather a coward when it comes to dares. However, from my point of view, if i can add something to discussion, i do it, therefore i gave the web adress. I don't think that knowing something must imply that i should have an opinion whether that thing is ethically/practically bad/good or useful/rubbish.

"Creating all of you was a major blunder! I don't know what I was thinking at the time! So go your own way and figure things out for yourselves. Good luck! You've broken every commandment I've issued. You killed and/or tortured probably half of the prophets I've sent to speak to you. You have complained that I am too merciful to your enemies. You've complained that I am too hard on yourselves. I can't accommodate everyone and I'm tired of trying!"

I created you for my pleasure, from my extasy you have came to exist. There is a little secret you will learn some time sooner or later since its only Me which alone exist and ever will you also are That. You see yourself as failure at times but its me who is responsible. Becouse I am omnipotent I can afford to be weak and I can enjoy it too. Quite often you are destructive becouse its my way to sustain this world both through build up and destruction. Constant battle of these opposing forces is the only way to hide Myself in this world or else there could be no fun, impossible. Cheer up, there is nothing to loose and everything to gain so relax and enjoy the game!

I disagree. By issuing a dare or challenge, you are implying that you are interested in the topic, have an opinion on the topic, and are willing to participate in whatever discussion may come of someone having accepted your dare or challenge.

I would say that enough people have written what God has said and narrowing it down would be the best option, not adding to it. God talks to every one equally and it should probably remain that way. However when God speaks humans cannot contain themselves. As mentioned though, it is probably best to not speak, but act out what God has told you and keep your own opinions out of it as much as possible. It is when humans add their touch that things become complicated, because we all have our own unique opinion and most of the time, it is not God's.

Not sure how that works online, seeing as how it is mainly the thoughts and opinions of the posters.

I agree, that by issuing a dare i imply that i find the topic interesting.

I do find information on kryon.com interesting, since i have no way of proving to myself if all that is made up nonsense and a cash-cow for weak-minded people, or it holds any value. Therefore, i find it interesting and urged Gary to take a look.
