Which Profession is the LEAST nerdy?

I cut down trees, I skip and jump, I like to press wild flowers
I put on wimmen's clothing, and hang around in bars :smug:

Those five items seem pretty non-nerdy to me. :p

I'd say construction worker. Except for the Village People construction worker.

Iron Worker.

Not nerdy when one is doing the tightrope on a metal beam 50 stories above the ground. Or hanging 50 stories up by a rope, riveting metal beams together.

You made the two statements (certain crimes depending on the status of the violator) and your profession (rocket scientist or not) related, even though they are not . . .

Ok, now youre just confused.

Oh and no, Im not a rocket scientist, but I never said the 2 are related, I said computer criminals are criminals, like Im a rocket scientist.

As in theyre not really. I mean hell if theyre hacking into some rich guys account and stealing a lot of his money, theyre not really hurting anyone are they?

Being Kurt Russel.

So, when I said:

That is indeed your position?

Huh.

It bugs you, dosent it? :mischief:

I know this big fat guy, his ex girl friend (this lady in her 40s) owed some money to a criminal. 2 days after the guy came out of jail, he went to see her, he then raped her 14 year old daughter, and then killed the mother, drowned her in the bath tub, right in front of the little girl. This was about 1,5-2 years ago.

Are you really gonna put that guy in the same category (criminal) as some nerd who breaks into peoples accounts and takes their money? Im guessing people who have something thats worth stealing, besides I think if your account is hacked into its the bank that has to take the losses its their safety failure.

Um, they are both criminals, yes. So now you are saying it is not a crime to steal from the rich? And of course you are assuming that only the rich are the victims.

That is exactly what Im saying, its not a crime to steal from the rich, how do you think they got rich to begin with? sure you can work hard and spend little and be "well off" but dont become filthy rich without screwing someone (s) out of their money along the way, its just not possible.

a) You assume that one can only become rich through crime, which I don't accept; and

b) you imply that it is not a crime to steal from criminals. Nope, even if you are stealing from the rich, you are still a criminal.

You dont have to accept anything, but you might wanna consider this: It costs bill gates how much to manufacture each unit of windows? even if we count in the price of developement and divide that with the number of units sold, each windows CD (DVD now I suppose) costs him next to nothing to produce, maybe 2 dollars.

How much dose he charge for each one? see you dont have to break the law to be a criminal in my book.

Its like if there was a sever draught and I owned the only water well with water in it. What if I then charged everyone 50 dollars a cup for water?

Windows is kinda like that, all games, all programs (at least 98% or so) are made to work with with windows, without it I cant do much.

Its not because I like windows, its lack of options (which the us justice department had a problem with also, I dunno if you remember the trial).
So Bill Gates is something of a criminal in my book, while some guy who figured out a way to steal a few milions from him is not.

Well, almost by definition the word "criminal" means "one who breaks the law". A person may do bad things and not technically be a criminal, but breaking the law still makes on criminal.

Man, have we strayed from the OP.
