It's not entirely self-explanatory, I know. What this is, is a minigame that we will be playing to plan the city of Dhah-Zanomar from my under-construction NES world, This World is Yours. Descriptions of Swiech, Issith, Krutarg and the appropriate human factions will be available when they are needed in phase 2.

[Suffice it to say, Swiech are gold-worshipping Rat people, Issith are Lizardfolk ruled by an absolutely powerful Den Mother, Krutargg are a mineral-consuming race of sapiens that absorb the properties therein, etc.]

What it is:

phase 1: RNG earn points, build a massive underground tunnel system at what is essentially Niagara falls! The falls have dozens of wrecked wheat barges crashed at the bottom, giving for dangerous fun for children and massive algae pools for cultivation, also a cool gimmick.

phase 2: Buy soldiers, protect your interests, fight for control of the tunnel-city!

Today I arrived at The Stale Goo. Whoever came up with this name must've been the king of underexagerration.

A haunted marsh in the ass-end of nowhere, not even the goblins dare live here. You can smell the stink of the miasma from miles away; I could've sworn I saw clouds raining rotten piss in the distance. Up-close it's not anything better. As far as the eye can see is snow that smells and looks more like some kobold's rotten diarrhea after gorging on a mountainhome's milk stores (dumb things don't even realize they're lactose intolerant; it's a wonder that they're still alive in some parts). I don't expect to survive the year, let alone long enough to fulfill my quota, but I'm leaving this diary behind in case some poor schmuck is sent to replace me.

Why are we here? Hell if I know. This Luckymoose fella, really strange guy, came up to me in a bar one morning and told me the king had tasked him to colonize the southern swamplands. Claimed that with the humans and gobbos slaughtering each other by the hundreds, the royals had decided to set up a trade route with the south. Sounded like the biggest pile of giant eagle I've ever heard, but a few bags of gold coins were enough to convince me.

Now that I'm here, I'd give up the entire royal treasury just to be back in the Mountainhome. Seems like I'm the only competent person on this godforsaken caravan. Luckymoose's been playing with his weird skull totems since last night; er kept waking me up with his muttering about "towers of darkness" or some . He wouldn't say anything when I asked him which way to drive the wagons, so I guess this is home. Armok help me.
