While We Wait: Writer's Block & Other Lame Excuses

#nes is like the release valve for the evil, hate and negativity of the NESing community.

#nes is a wonderful place that is great for silently sitting and watching everyone talk around you.

#nes is a place for live discussions between NESers, to help the community get to know itself better. At least, it should be.

Numerical reviews are bad ideas because not everyone is judging off of the same rubric. Descriptive reviews, such as those suggested by Frozen, are far superior, and actually provide usable information. I don't know anything by hearing that a NES has an 88% rating, but I do hear a lot from learning that it's a fast-paced fresh start with fantasy elements, or something like that.

Agreed to the highest extent.

TerraNES: 99/100 <- Bronze Ages Bloodbath.
SKNES: 99/100 <- Dark Ages Bloodbath.
Capto Iugulum: 95/100 <- Lots of politics.
DominionNES2: 85/100 <- low score due to ability to do nearly anything. Note the massive plague one player created that kills all but those who worship his person. The mod allowed it so I quit.

So apparently talking about CK2 on #nes is a bannable offense. Is it because I'm playing as a Byzantine?

I really need to get a plot to reduce imperial authority actually.

1 - I might be that player. All of my nation is deterioriating unto itself.
2 - It's a world of magic. What realism do you want?
3 - NESing is, to some, more about roleplaying than about winning. Think about it.

I'm not about winning either. ;) If I was in it for winning, Why would I join as Brittany in Capto Iugulum? Just don't get the mod allowing a virus that kills all who oppose you basically without a fight.

I'm glad everyone agrees that numerical grades are a bad idea. Now, can we get a consensus that reviews are a bad idea, numerical or not? :p

noob, did you kill your wife again? I hear mention of rape is a bannable offense in #NES.

Spoiler Uninflated Numbers :
TerraNES: 99/100
SKNES: 99/100
Capto Iugulum: 85/100
DominionNES2: 65/100

Everyone gets their own opinion.

I don't mind him voicing his opinion; I just disagree with it. I think handing 99/100 to more than one NES is excessive? Near-perfection shouldn't be that easy to hand out. Hell, I wouldn't hand out a single A to the NES forum right now...

I'm perfectly happy with those two.

@Terrance: Good god, no! Downgrades for looooooooong waits between the updates.

@Gem Hound: ...I don't think you understand what perfection is. Or what grade inflation is?
