While We Wait: Writer's Block & Other Lame Excuses

Fixed after the first hour and half or so, so only really annoying for the people who woke up in the middle of the night to play.

Act 1 is free to play for anyone with a battle.net account.

More than just the first hour and a half, they took those servers down quite a few times yesterday, it was irritating. After what I believe was the final downage at four, the servers didn't have any problems that I noticed.

I've played through the first act twice (Once alone and once w/ my brother) and have enjoyed it so far.

My girlfriend is making me play pokemon gold for the first time. Where does my character's mother sleep?

You'd kill anyone who hasn't played Pokemon? with -bullets?-

YES! My nations always look decent in front... but underneath it is just creepy. Satura is the starkest form of this, but even Normandy in Capto Iugulum and other NESes have this wierd tug of war between Rohan and Isengard.

Been watching Lord of the Rings as of late Terrance or do you just have that always in your mind when you are doing this? I also noticed somewhat when you used the Tower of Barad-Dur as your "totally not evil you guys" lighthouse that you made in Absolution. :)

I play music on repeat in the background when I NES. Sometimes I play Pirates of the Carribean or, say, Calling all downs.

Recently, it's this.

Then again, Rohan is like the epitome of Tradition, Honor, Quaintness, Agricultural. Isengard is Modern, Shock and Awe, Industry, Rapid rise and falls. In the past I play nations that are righteous without being ironic, who are faithful without being fanatics, who trade without being greedy and who farm without being earthbound. Nowadays, I focus on the differences, the extremes. I live my nations on the edge. I don't want to play a Superpower because a Power only has one real way to go-down. The entire game is just maintaining power you had to start with. I want to play small powers and raise myself by my own will to greatness, not just inherit greatness.

Listen to the difference in Rohans and Isengard's themes. Rohan's is comforting, slighty enigmatic but steady. Isengard's establishes new rythems. It makes its own rules. And if it fails to survive, at least it was brave enough to try.

That's why I like Isengard.

The game of Risk fc hosted in #nes. The players:

Before turn 1, ChiefDesigner dropped after a server crash so we conscripted Gem Hound.

Then I begin to suffer from a slight bout of mental retardation brought on by tiredness.

And we decide to turn in for the night, because Gem Hound had to go and I was (am) sleepy.

We plan to resume this game in the near future.
