Young men. The statistics demand as much.

But really it's a stupid conversation. The spread between individuals is enormous, to the point where there's no point generalizing into men/women, unless you're in the insurance business.

azn women are the scariest drivers :3

Only if Asian women are as multicultural as your city gets. I find women from Sudan and the Horn of Africa driving minivans to be terrifying.

women. most i've driven around with aren't confident enough driving, and they second guess themselves more often then men. that equals last minute mergings, and hasty split second decisions.

I'm terrified by my own driving.

Young men overestimate them selves. Women just make small parking bumps. Annoying, but nothing to be afraid of.

It depends on the person. I've had my own car for years though so I am usually driving though, so I haven't had many other young people drive me around to know. Although the guys are usually worse drivers.

I remember reading at one point that males tend to become safer drivers when there are more people in the car for whose safety they are responsible, and females tend to become less safe drivers the more people there are in the car to distract them. Apparently young males driving by themselves take a lot more risks than young females do.

I've also read though that the only reason young males have more accidents than young females is because they drive more often, as our culture tends to consider it more normal for a male to drive when members of both genders share a car.

Depends on who is in the car with them. A car full of teenage boys is the worst.

Unless the guy is trying to impress people. I was in a car once on a country road late at night and the guy driving decided to turn his lights off just to show that he could and stay on the road.....

I've found that of the bad drivers I've observed, females are clueless while males are careless. I distrust both. As has been mentioned, carelessness is more dangerous based on the speeds of accidents.

I've been with some scary guy drivers.. but not nearly as many scary girl drivers. :P

Young girls.

As it was alluded to, already; Young men typically enjoy driving and tend to remain focused on it. Young women are not so enamored by the act of driving and do seem to become distracted more by tuning the radio, phone calls, texting, or what have you. It has been quite some time since I've been a young man riding as a passenger with young women, but I do recall be quite fearful of it. Nothing will make you quite so aware of your mortality, at that age. Of course, plenty of young male drivers scared the life out of me, at that time, too. On more than one occasion, I opted to walk.
