Yes, he realized relatively early on (for a German officer) that Hitler and the Nazis had to go. It was in the fall of 1939 that General Ludwig Beck began meeting and discussing with others the need to overthrow the Nazi regime and install a temporary government headed by himself, which would then attempt to negotiate a peace with the France and the UK.

Had he been able to accomplish this, imagine the millions of lives that would have been saved. So yes, certainly, Beck was right and the only way you could possibly disagree is if you're a Nazi!

The only thing wrong with your premise is that Beck was a quite loyal Nazi who apparently had not problem with their policies at all until he had a falling out with Hitler over the timing of military offenses. He didn't want to stop them. He just thought they should wait a bit longer before proceeding.

That sort of conduct is generally frowned upon in the higher tiers of any military organization.

And I'm quite sure the Nazis would have simply executed anybody who even contacted O'RLY, much less made a threat to not do exactly as ordered.

As oppose to today, they wouldn't die mysteriously or be simply taken out. They would be more likely to be asked to retire and begin a new career in some lobbyist group, or be a chairman for any kind of company specifically for the Arms Industry.
