Why we hate Hillary

I Hate Hillary Clinton Because...

That's fine, I'm not attacking every person that thinks Hillary won't be good for America. No one's perfect and Hillary is no exception.

I just thought I'd clarify my position on change and show that that statement wasn't just about a woman versus a man.
That's what it sure sounded like - if you weren't talking about a woman in particular being needed to effect this supposedly necessary change, why did you say that "America needs a woman's touch"?

Somebody call my name? ;)

But with all the candidates talking "change," they'd actually have to show it'd be a good change. Change for change's sake may not be the best answer.
You're a hooker?!

But seriously, there are only a few candidates who I think would be substantially different, and only one vastly so. (Ron Paul is the one who I think would make the most changes. I don't necessarily agree with a lot of them, though)

Well, I have never seen any research that shows there isn't a reason to believe that single issue video game voters excist. Then again, theory doesn't really lead us to believe there might be. Maybe it's time for a continuation of Inglehart and Flanagan here... post-postmaterialism.. we move from social security to treehugging to video games. Value change... nice concept.

Well, when I'm talking about "video game voters" existing, I'm talking about "in a number great enough to matter".

There is a multi-million dollar industry in America dedicated to determining voter values. People make 6 figures to conduct poll after poll after poll...and then poor saps like me in the university system pour over all that polling data, so somebody else can write books.

I don't have any polling data from the 04-06 US congressional elections on the internet, but I do have two huge books on them on my desk. I have never, ever, in any of my studies, seen any election where anybody mentioned "Video Games" as an issue.

AND EVEN IF THEY DID, the number of "Values Voters" would outnumber them by epic ratios.

I'd consider voting for her actually. She impressed me in the youtube debates, and the GOP candidates are all uninspiring.

Atlas's current favorites in order from best to least best:

Bill Richardson
Biden
Hillary

I am with you. It looks like the Republicans are settling into the strategy of "let's make their front runner look worse than us."

They're already trying to switfboat Hillary and anyone else that promotes Democrats, even a 12-year old kid.

This time around, they'll have a tough time making that work. The voters are younger, smarter and more knowledgeable. When a party thrives on ignorance it will decline with widespread, readily available information.

I dunno. The Democrats are masters of that... :D

I must have missed it - how are they trying to "swiftboat Hillary"?

In his January 20 column, nationally syndicated columnist Robert D. Novak wrote that "Former Clinton Adviser" Dick Morris is "asking for a contribution between $25 and $100 or more to finance a critical film documentary of Sen. Hillary Clinton." According to Novak, in a mailing sent out by The Presidential Coalition, a group run by Republican activist and discredited former congressional staffer David Bossie, Morris wrote: "If you liked how the Swift Boat Veterans turned the tide against John Kerry, you understand how a top Clinton aide can turn the tables and stop a Clinton-style liberal from becoming the next president of the United States."

Ah, thanks. I wasn't aware, though, that Dick Morris and "The Presidential Coalition" = Republicans. I mean, look at the mission statement of their website:
www.goppresidents.org said:
The Presidential Coalition exists to educate the American public of the value of having principled conservative Republican leadership at all levels of government. From Lincoln to Reagan to George W. Bush, principled Republican Presidents have displayed the courage and wisdom necessary to guide our nation during some of our greatest and most difficult times. Their leadership has stood the test of time and made America great.

Unless we want to equate moveon.org with the DNC, as well? :mischief:

If you're a Democrat. You're above criticism.

Not true. There are some things that I don't agree with the Democrats on and have criticized them for it. For one I don't think they are nearly aggressive enough in debates. They sometimes come off as wimps when dealing with opponents. I think that's what Hillary is trying to overcome with her hawkish rhetoric.

Hillary has so many skeletons in her closet the republicans could go mute and she would still be swiftboated. If she does become the cadidate undreamed of crap will probably crawl out of the wordwork.

I've already clarified this.

WTH? Where are Grant, McKinley, Nixon, and Harding?

You forgot Poland Teddy! I guess he'd be lib'ral by today's standards so we'll pretend he didn't exist.

Same goes for Rudy.

In 2003/4, Hillary vehemently critisized Bush for running political adds that featured 9/11 footage (he used a group of firefighters carrying a flag covered casket from the site).

Now, she is running a 9/11 footage add.

I still can't believe she hired that federal criminal who covered up for Bill Clinton by stealing and destroying documents from the national archive... And she claims to be against cronyism.

Could she be any more of a hypocrite?

I like Harding; the way I see it, anyone who says that Bush is the worst president ever doesn't actually mean "ever"; they don't go far back enough to see that harding has him beat.

Grant give Harding a run for his money.

Given that Harding didn't lead his country into a war on gamed intelligence that lead to the deaths of 10s of 1000s, I'd say that Bush has him beat at this point. That said, there are some precious similarities between Bush and Harding; primarily their love the malaprop. Remember, Harding invented the world "normalcy". :) If only they'd of had YouTube in the 1920s!
