Will you get married, are you married if either are so, why?

This thread is lolsome.

Personally, I have mixed feelings about marriage. On one hand, I'd like the companionship, but on the other hand, I just wanna be left alone, so I can veg out on the computer as much as I can. Every second on the computer counts. I'm also hesitant to get into relationships because I am pretty easily taken advantage of, especially when I hear so many horror stories about the girl screwing the guy over repeatedly.

So ultimately, marriage is not for me, cuz it requires for me to give too much trust for me to be willing to give, plus it probably wouldn't fit my personality type, so I'll stay single.

You want to spend that much time on a computer? What could you possibly be doing that you enjoy so much

I'd like to get married eventually.

And why? It'd be nice to find somebody to share my life with.

It's an addiction. Gotta do my best to feed it. :D

Screw the so-called "mental health consequences", give me that damn computer time! :D

i do not wish to be married. i just don't think im the right kind of person for that.

I am almost completely optimized for a life without any companionship, and changing that may result in some trouble. Also, the number of beautiful relatively sane females are declining, and i have yet to keep a girlfriend for more than a year.

I've been married, am not currently married, but could see myself getting married again if I found the right woman (assuming she could put up with me). I think marriage is a cool thing, as long as you know what you're getting into and you are ready to make a lifetime commitment to another human being, with all that entails.

Protip: If you're in your early 20s, you're probably not ready. Give it time, there's no deadline.

some people are already married by 20. yes its quite rare, and happy stable ones rarer still, but i cant help but feel.. pressured.

(that, and i put a limit as to what age is considered too old to ave a girlfriend)

I'm aware that some folks are married by 20. The funny thing about the early, mid, or late teens is that they're all younger than 20, and thus (IMO) maybe a little young for lifelong commitments to other human beings.

Also, you're never too old to have a girlfriend or boyfriend. My grandma had a boyfriend when she was in her 70s; she just didn't call him her boyfriend. She called him her "gentleman caller." I love my grandma. :)

well, if the girl was relatively sane, beautiful (at least to me) and we get along well, then i would like a marriage. however im not going to hope for it. too much.

note: the definition of relatively sane is known to myself.

Yeah, I want to get married eventually. If that doesn't happen, I definitely want to raise a kid regardless.
