Do you imagine a boot stamping on a human face - forever?

Or maybe things improving over time.

I think that the future is likely to not be very close to what we now experience, from our myriads of personal lenses. I do fear that it may be far more authoritarian, visibly so as well.

I don't see any actual unity of the global population, for many reasons (both logistical and theoretical), although it seems to me likely that the future population will number far fewer people than now.

Not that it will be a return to older eras, and an eternal recurrence, then sinking in the old abyss once more. In my view we don't move in circles, nor even spirals, but in all that with ebbs and tides factored in, creating in the end- in a sufficiently distant future- a sole finishing point for our species.

But, until then, you can have fun- even by posting in this thread ;)

Lots more pseudo-democracies.

Flying cars and time machines in the back of DeLoreans.

A boot stamping on a human face, forever. Whether the face is that of an average citizen or an authority figure remains to be seen.

The world has been slowly improving since we crawled down from the trees and started farming crap. Generally speaking of course. I expect these trends to continue, with of course a lot of BS happening all at the same time.

A continuing evolution of personal and collective consciousness.

I'm optimistic.

I see blade runner.

I see fat nerds posting false wisdom on an internet forum.

Oh, the future. Oh.

Hentai, Austrian shoes, Bananas, The lingering feeling that everything contains something yet nothing, and Cheezy's sexy goatee.

I see someone looking at the false wisdom posted on an internet forum. Someone who may, or may not, be a fat nerd himself.

Oh the present. Oh.

(Past performance is no indication or guarantee of future performance.)

Our civilisation will fall, our nations will be swept aside and their cultures will be a memory. Others will have risen in our place with their own ideas and values.
Although I believe globalisation will complicate things.

Bruins@Lightning tonight.
Great sunny day tomorrow. Lots of potential.
Repairing the voicerecording file system on Monday because the company we hired for that hires klutzes. Just one and a half weeks worth of recordings. Can't be much more than 50.000 of them. Should be a breeze.
After that it gets blurry.
