What if it actually does mean that? You realize how goddamn dumb it sounds to say "well sure the Republicans are cheating but we need to just pretend they aren't and win anyway" right?
Normally it might be, but I really believe the numbers are their regardless so any effort should be put into getting those numbers to vote and anything else is wasted effort.

Republicans are hellbent on ensuring minorities don't vote, disenfranchising them.

Numbers don't matter if the system is being rigged by those with actual power.

So what do you suggest. Armed revolution.
The numbers do matter.

Probably because the Dems are on the path of screwing it up again.
But there is still time. We'll see what it looks like next summer.

The Republicans will never stop cheating, never stop disenfranchising minorities, never stop their lurch to the right because they've all swallowed the "red pill" and realise that this is the only way for their party to survive the inevitable demographic changes.

Yes, my fantasy is a vanguard seizing control of the state and deporting about twenty million Republicans from the key swing states back to Europe before being ousted by a nonviolent general-strike-type protest movement that draws up a new constitution designed around actual democracy.

Let me know how that goes. ;)

And Cloud, you still haven't offered a suggestion.

I don't know, mine may actually work.

Once again, what is the alternative.
My company does a lot of modeling, and the numbers are definitely there.

So i'll say it again:

Voter disenfranchisement (particularly of racial minorities) has a large impact on elections Rah.

Let's not pretend this is a recent thing; Republicans have been doing this for decades. They do not have the numbers, but they do have the donors and the political power to continue to hold on.

Your company doesn't model elections where one side cheats using all the power at its disposal.

Yes, that is taken into account. We're not idiots.

Your right. Our company makes a lot of money doing it so we must be convincing a lot of people with money. (not that money conveys intelligence)
But our statisticians are world class. I've been involved in data integrity so I get to see some of what they're doing.

So tell me, what sorts of cheating are they taking into account?

Nothing that just a few percentage points in the turnout rate can't beat. But again turnout is the ultimate determining factor.
