Quite true, you don't. So I will tell you something: The full-blown administrative state that takes interest in all things, and has solutions to all problems, is the Dream of Fascism.
You need to come to terms with this.

Ah yes and the complete absence of administrative regulation is paradise. Its not either or, there is a huge grey area here. Implying I want the government in your backyard jsut because I want government to stop union busting and mass pollution (and yes a myriad of other things) is stupid. This is my point. This "administration" has made a point of encouraging law and regulation breaking by lack of enforcement and writing out of existence current regulations. It is dumb as ****. We are killing the planet faster then it can keep up. We are making a permanent class of poor people. We have a diminishing life expectancy and now we have diminishing quality of life. Some of this could be helped jsut by having a functioning government.

Let us not wake our Junior Stalinist League.

This is infantile. No one here has advocated anything Stalinist ever.

From the New York Times: a full list of 99 environmental regulations ‘rolled back’ by the Trump administration, which I hold constitute crimes against humanity.

This is one of his more sinister moves effectively turning the civil service into a nightmare of paranoia. "You found the oil company dumping fracking waste into a nearby creek? Well I think you have about 6 weeks of vacation pay left in accrual you can have on your way out the door. Thank you."

President Trump signs directive that would potentially pull thousands of federal employees in "policy-making" positions out of the competitive service, making them at-will employees.

Wow:eek: that was a fun read. Kinda suprising that this kind of thing would even be legal, but whatevs...
Ugh, shepherd's pie is not good food. I like fried Mars bars. I'm not sure they're Scottish, but I'm under the impression they are. Haggis is tolerable. Oddly enough, Edinburgh has good places selling mussels the few times I've been.
Kids love shepherd's pie, because... well what's not to love for a kid? Haggis from Scotland I believe may be banned in the US for health reasons, so I've never had it... but I have to say it sounds like something you'd have to have grown up eating to be able to stomach... pun intended... similar to chitterlings.

Importation of certain animal-origin products into the US is forbidden. E.g. some bone pieces used to make bagpipes cannot be imported into the US.

Cocaine? Sure, ask the DEA. Prostitutes? Dirty money desperately needing laundering? Ask at Delaware. But bringing a musical instrument? Health concerns!

Maybe attacking a guy for the crime of ... loving his son even if he is a screw up is a bad move.

Is that how we're characterizing bribery now? Its like the Checkers speech all over again.

Why? You know full well that voting for the Libertarians is a waste of a vote.

The Democrats and Republicans are...ahem...mass murderers

The Hunter Biden story is so stupid. So many journalists and organisations passed on it, because they knew how thin and full of lies the story was. The only people running with it are total rags and opinion posts.

And the deal that Hunter was doing with Bobulinski? It was in 2017 when Joe Biden was just a private citizen and not VP. Bobulinski has also been caught in multiple lies, and is a totally untrustworthy source. And there was still no deal at all carried out.

The same media that gave us 3 years of Russiagate? They wont investigate the story because they know Biden's a crook and want him to win. Do you have a link to Bobulinski's lies? Its strange you would cite him to exonerate Biden and then call him a liar.

What office is he running for?

That was Joe's argument

lmao

No you didn't. You said you thought Biden had a slight edge on style. You then clarified that if Trump had let Biden interrupt first, you'd have given Trump the edge.

Finally, you claimed that Biden did in fact interrupt first. By your own posting, this means you will have then awarded Trump the slight edge.

Not that any of this language is a definitive "Biden won the first debate". It's just a handy stance for you to claim now to try and prop up your alleged bipartisanship.

In the first link I said: "I'd give a slight edge to Biden on style, Trump interrupted too much"

In the 2nd link I said: "Overall I gave Biden a slight edge based primarily on Trump's demeanor. Had he let Biden start interrupting first or kept it to a minimum I'd have given Trump the edge. I suspect Trump was trying to rattle him and it backfired."

In the 3rd link I said: "hmm...actually Biden started interrupting Trump first"

I posted the 2nd quote before watching the debate a 2nd time and saw Biden was the first to interrupt. I shouldn't have said Trump won if Biden was the first to interrupt because it didn't matter who was first, Trump interrupted too much and did not keep it to a minimum.

I said Biden won the debate twice, the 3rd quote didn't change my opinion about that and was just a correction about the false impression I gave that Trump started it. My criticism of Trump was that he lost because of his overall demeanor - that carries more weight than who was first. I'm not bipartisan, I dont like either party.

Ding, Ding, Ding! We have a winner.

@Berzerker you're just a closet/shy Conservative trying to mask yourself behind both-sides'ing everything. Nobody is fooled. It's laughably obvious at this point. Drop the pretense and just own it.

I'm left of your party and its nominee... You're voting for a Republican.

Graham is a RINO? :D

Why is he attacking Graham?

Intersting that you are all over Hunter Biden but completely ignore the actually corrupt Ivanka, Jared, Erik and Donald Jr. let alone Trump's ongoing corruption and self dealing.

They didn't lie to a fisa court to spy on the Clinton campaign. Four years of Russiagate has taught me the Democrats and their media are not just untrustworthy, they're far more corrupt than the people they've been stoning. Hunter Biden is irrelevant, he's just emblematic for what lies below the waterline.

I remember criticizing Jared's deal with an Arab state a while back involving what looked like a bail out for a real estate loss. Course that may have been media BS too, I was so convinced Mueller would find all sorts of stuff I called Trump a Manchurian Candidate. Now I'm inclined to believe Trump is relatively clean or Mueller would have found something. I'd like a similar investigation of Russiagate and the Bidens.

This is infantile. No one here has advocated anything Stalinist ever.

We have plenty of Antifa supporters around here, does the violent suppression of free speech constitute Stalinism?

No, no and no.

Your party has been waging wars my entire life time, thats right wing. I support universal health care, your nominee wants to coerce people into buying insurance. And ofc there's the border walls and cages he built. I'm not sure why you think he's left of me but he isn't, he's just another warmongering corporate whore.

Jimmy Dore predicted Trump would deport fewer Mexicans than Obama

these are bad guys'. Literally no geopolitical explanation, or justification for why we don't apply these standards to the Gulf State, head-choppers, crucifers and genociders. The people who actually made up the 9/11 forces. It was Saudis that did it, not Iranians.
Wow, strawmanning me hard.Your geopolitical explanation is the guy was heading attacks on US targets in Iraq. He wasn’t some phantom that was only a product of fear mongering.

Oh and the US troops that Trump was 'protecting' by killing Soleimani. Well hundreds of them got traumatic brain injuries from the Iranian response, and Trump said he doesn't care and it was just a headache.
If you believe he said that then you are the “orange man bad” meme. “Well what about the saudis, he did it at the wrong time, he said this terrible thing.” Throwing all this at the wall to see what sticks sounds more like not approving of Trump than not approving of Trump’s actions imo.

“What I did not predict was that the Democrats would be so horrible and the media so corrupt that they would spend four years talking about Russia instead of how America got Donald Trump.”

Jimmy sure has his moments of clarity.

Edit: Thanks Ziggy, those videos are perfect. The warm bi-partisan facade for unfettered neoliberalism.

And then there's this: https://www.cnn.com/2020/10/20/politics/white-house-5g-spectrum-no-bid-contract-rivada/index.html

article said:
Senior officials throughout various departments and agencies of the Trump administration tell CNN they are alarmed at White House pressure to grant what would essentially be a no-bid contract to lease the Department of Defense's mid-band spectrum -- premium real estate for the booming and lucrative 5G market -- to Rivada Networks, a company in which prominent Republicans and supporters of President Donald Trump have investments.
The pressure campaign to fast track Rivada's "Request for Proposal" (RFP) by using authorities that would preclude a competitive bidding process intensified in September, and has been led by White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, who was acting at Trump's behest, sources with knowledge tell CNN. To push his case, Meadows has sometimes used as his proxy an individual identified by sources in the telecommunications industry as a top financial management official in the US Army.
Sources tell CNN that Trump was encouraged to help Rivada by Fox News commentator and veteran GOP strategist Karl Rove, a lobbyist for, and investor in, Rivada.
Untold billions are at stake. A government auction of 70 megahertz of spectrum in August went for more than $4.5 billion. The Rivada bid would be for 350 megahertz of spectrum -- five times that amount.

Nope, nothing suspicious there at all. :shifty:

Don't like the comparison? Fine, should Iran be able to assassinate the American and Israeli officials behind the Stuxnet attack, a direct act of war on Iran that didn't even involve working through proxies?

What official/officials? Is there a list of people?

Or, hey, let's turn the situation around, hypothetically. Let's say that Iran invaded Mexico and destroyed its government. Worried about Iranian influence in a country next door to our own territory, the US government offers assistance to Mexican insurgents fighting against the Iranian occupation. Iran uses a cruise missile to assassinate an American general involved in these operations while the general is on the runway at the airport in Mexico City.

Would this be okay with you? Why or why not?
No. The general would have to, like Soleimani, be an international war criminal for me to feel it was morally right. Soleimani was doing a lot more (and did even more than that in the past) than training insurgents to defend his home region of the globe.

So a number of valid targets in the US, including Kissinger and W Bush :)

Antifa does not suppress free speech, they suppress nazis. Nazis don't do free speech they do terrorism of humans.

Comparing Antifa (a group fighting against terrorism literally) to Stalin is also insanely infantile ty for making my point. Your reactionary attitude is not covered up by your pretending to have left wing desires such as national healthcare. You vote and will continue to vote for groups that would have the infrastructure system in complete ruins in four years, education destroyed on day one, and the waters and air poisoned so badly that acid rain would be a dream.
