The Chinese people understand more than anyone else that war can be difficult and the leaders of the Revolution pray for the families of the men New England and Sweden lost in battle.

To show our thanks to these men and the nations of New England and Sweden, who have proven to be the greatest of friends to the Chinese people, the Republic of China will be giving the governments of these nations a gift of an animal so rare, some in the West still debate its existence.

The Giant Panda lives deep in the jungles of Southern China. It is a peaceful and docile creature much of the time, happy to just eat its bamboo and play. If provoked however, its size and claws make it very capable of defending itself; not so different from New England, Sweden or ourselves. One pair, a male and a female each, will be given to both Sweden and New England so they may display them in their country's zoos. We hope the people of your nations appreciate these gifts and that people from all over enjoy watching these beautiful creatures.
