A Brave New World Part 2

From The Russian Federation
To Those Involved in the North American Conflict

Russia is willing to host peace talks in St. Petersburg as a neutral party. We truly hope a that both parties will see this as an opportunity to conclude an even-handed treaty. To many lives have been lost in the devastation in North America. We urge all parties to think through carefully what another war will do to their people.

ooc I'm willing to create a social group (instead of a thread) to host negotiations.

Oh? And what will you do when you have your evidence, that it is we as you say who are guilty? Will you win the war? Not likely. Force is law; might makes right.

You may win, but you'll never convince. (OOC: Yeah, Unamuno)

OOC: As for the Don Milarqui thing, Milarqui is not a true Spanish name. If England would like to change the film's name to The Lord Miguel, it would work out better. As for the Russian spoof of our last film, we would like to protest the fact that it mocks it.

You're trying to suppress freedom of speech? If your movie can't fend for itself in the marketplace of ideas, then it deserves to be mocked.

Just asked uknemisis if he could come back into NESing. I'm awaiting nemisis' answer.

OOC:Not meant for this place.

IC:
To: Whomever it may concern
From: SUSA

The SUSA sees no reason why Russia cannot host a neutral peace conference. We would attend.

OOC: Though I don't think a new group is necessary. It would be short-lived.

This is why we invaded Denmark. They don't believe in democracy.

@flyingchicken: I can ignore or not ignore. I encourage players to do the same. Why not have a politician in Sweden who came up with the same lines? For all we know in OTL there was a politician in Scandinavia thinking, "Aw Shucks, I wish I had thought of that." Personally, If someone chooses to make Churchill materialize, as long as it isn't ridiculous, I have no problem with it.

@Milarqui: I came up with the movie. It amused me greatly. Since I have been having trouble coming up with movie names, a large number of the upcoming movies are names of NESes I've moderated (or played in) or are names of NESers. Hence "Crezth!" and "The Lord Milarqui."

I have been rather busy over the past few days and have been slow in getting the new unit prices up. I will be pushing the update back a few days (not sure how many yet), so no worries there either.

That's probably a good thing right now. We're still knee-deep in diplo, and we may be seeing the end of the war in North America. And I'm curious when Circuits of Society will be coming out. ;)

The Flying Chicken: A Korean animated film about a chicken which seeks to learn to fly like the other birds.

El Justo: A story about the greatest Bullfighter in the UNCA who is forced to decide between his love for the sport and serving a communist dictatorship which he does not believe in. Actually filmed in Cuba.

Soldier Child: A bleak documentary about the use of child soldiers in first North Africa and later Europe and North America.

Request For Comments: The story of an attention seeking Alaskan boy who cries wolf one too many time leading to the beheading of an innocent monarch.

Tuxedo Ham: A comedy about a rich Tennessee bachelor who finds out he may be more of a pig than the lady's man he sees himself to be.

Well I tried to put em in school, but the little bastards are feisty, and can't keep their hands off the rifles!

IMPORTANT: I grow tired of spamming and so forth. So here's one or two new rules. NO MORE "ORDERS SENT" POSTS. I KNOW your orders were sent, I recieved them. Please stop telling the world that and fattening up the thread, making it a NESing metaphor for a fat, ******** kid. While I do not downplay the fine work in stories that have been typical from Circuit and especially Lord Iggy, the indepth nation developments by crezth or qoou, or individual naming of ships and armies by TheLastJacobite, I'm putting out there that this is definitely not the norm from most of you. Before any of you get your panties in a wad, I'm only referring to a small minority of idiots who have been getting on my last nerves. Now the extent of my anger is that my wife had to actually talk me out of closing this NES down, as I had even composed a long, very angry rant. Also, while mocking bestrfcplayer certainly is an entertaining spectator sport, I don't think we can clog up page after page of it. Next time I see a face palm picture of any kind, the person who posted it will be on permanent /ignore in my book for this NES and all others I may do. This has been building up for some time, and if ya'll have random crap to say, say it in a different thread. I'll soon be asking Birdjaguar if he could delete a number of posts from the thread (I'll be sorting through it tomorrow) which have no bearing upon the NES. I certainly hope he agrees, as I'm not having another NES reach this level based upon exhoribant amounts of spam.

NOW, TO BESTRFCPLAYER: If you truly have any interest in this NES and are not just a trolling moron, you will respond to my private message. Now because you have been so slow to give me a response, I'll put it up on the thread right here so you can't miss it. Notice, please, how I do not create another thread or spam a variety of other threads about my posting of this or this warning, and how I keep it only in the thread that it applies to. I also have not clogged up visitor messages to tell you about this (though it was tempting). For the love of god, learn from that.

I've reviewed your orders and I still have a problem. You don't have the manpower capacity to produce what you wanted to produce. While you have shown VAST improvement over the last time you attempted to join in, I still see some issues. I hope that by now you've read the rules in their entireity, and if not, then there really is no hope for you as an NESer. I shall give you benefit of the doubt and assume you have read them.

Your diplomacy is a bit lacking, remember we are dealing with an alternative universe, not our own. While it is in character to dislike the commies, remember that you are part of the Swedish Empire, and not an independent nation. As such, whatever the player of Sweden says, goes. (Look at the stats post to see who plays Sweden.)

The above is as simple as I get. There are a number of people who feel that your relentless posting on these forums are an annoyance of the highest degree, as much of your previous posts have been unintelligible. I'm always open to giving people new chances at this, as we were all newbies at some point. Diplomacy is a fine art in NESing (for most) and my recommendation is that you observe others who have been doing it the most before attempting to try it for yourself. This is not a game of multi-player civilization nor is it any other sort of electronic game. The other nations are being played by actual people, who may assume a lot by the way you talk and manner in which you act. At the moment you have been acting a bit like a confused poodle and people will judge you as such. My advice is the following:

1. Learn the Rules
2. Stay Silent Until you know what's what.
3. If you have questions to ask, ask me by Private Message.
