Will look at, thanks.

Any luck? I just downloaded patch G and it didn't seem to fix the problem....I'd love to be able to continue the game! :D

In case it is hard/time consuming to fix, any suggestion on what I can do (possibly in the world builder) to get to the next turn?

1.74G

Excellent game so far. Coming closer to Medieval Era so savegame will be uploaded soon :).

Anyway, here is a new thought:
I use Regenerate Map option from time to time. But I notice that after I am moved to another place that I may or may not like, I always am able to see older patch of land I was on before.

I'm wondering if you can add a new function after moving my stuff that would delete RevealTeam from the map? Or figure out other way to remove that patch of land?

Not really a big deal but would be a little more neat to have my minimap only concentrate on my played area, and have the rest actually be shown only when explored in later game.

This is from my experience in the Ancient Era. When I play with the time scale Snail, the first technologies take about 30 turns. In Eternity, the first technologies take about 400 turns. Was the enormous disparity intentional?

Same here but I can only say so for the mapscript Perfectworld 2. Not sure which one you use?

Diplomacy Settings were never re-written to work in MP, so they are disabled in MP.

You don't need to change both of them. It's like having two light switches for one light. They both turn it on or off.

Dark Ages are hidden and disabled for a reason. It's not a feature, and should not be played with.

I'm saying that it is good if they are disabled, BUT the checking the "no brokering" at the beginning of the game does not work as i can STILL trade the tech. Plus when looking at the diplomacy file, the brokering is set to "true" in there. No matter what i do at game creation

( and when i exited the game, changed the file manually ( to 'false'), restarted game, started new game -> still "true" -> and in the file, everything was supecaded with # -to mark it as comment, and new "default" values inserted below. )

.... This is actually minor thing. ( and by some magic i got it to work. i guess).

What i was saying about DARK AGE's - was - that i have not "played with it" - they were not disabled for me - as they constantly are repressing me ( and AI ). Is there are setting for turning it off ?
( I did not find such a thing from xml files or anywhere. Maybe i was not looking?)

There is a difference between trading and brokering.

Hemispheres. But it's not unique to any particular mapscript :).

No, it was a bug from patch F. corrected in patch G, I think.

Aha! I figured out why you are having so many problems. You didn't clean install. Delete your Rise of Mankind folder, install AND 1.74, and the latest patch. Don't install new versions over old ones, that's just asking for trouble.

Can't you come with a better installer?

Just joking, but perhaps a small text when installing RoM / AND?

A little comment concerning difficulty:
I used to win most of my games with RoM on level prince. With AND installed I do not have the slightest chance on that difficulty level so I will have to go back to noble or even lower.
The AI is so much faster in research that it is just frustrating. It is practically impossible to get one of the early religions (hinduism, kemetism, zoroastrianism, monotheism), even with full concentration on research I was never even close to found one of these religions. In the middle ages I have to use the scrollbar to see the full long list of technologies that the opponents already have and I don't.
Also the AI-civs are able to build many many many cities in a short time without ever having financial trouble.
There are several difficulty levels above prince so I do not see the point in making the lower levels so much more difficult. Or am I just too stupid for this game and all the years of playing Civilization have had no effect on me?
(Sorry but I had to get some frustration off my chest...)

Easiest way is to upload your savegame before consistent crash. Then post the info from your A New Dawn installation log, to be found in RoM/ folder :). Open up A New Dawn.log with notepad and copy'n'paste stuff there to here along with your savegame.

Ok, here it is, save is made a turn before crash.

AND AI is significantly better than BTS AI. You will need to figure out which difficulty level is right for you. (The AI does not cheat, or get handicaps any more than the BTS AI does.)

Noble is very do-able, Tuvok. But the AI is good indeed :).

Found a small problem.

Nuclear labs require laboratories, but if you build SETI it puts a Research Lab in every city which means you can no longer build regular labs and hence cannot build Nuclear labs.

Terraforming and reforestation still wont work right with patch G unless i missed something. ANM missile graphics act as air units, is this intented?

Hi. I recently played 2 pangea games with patch F installed. A strange thing that occured in both games is that when I razed/captured a city in ancient/classical eras, I got an enormous amount of gold, first 7.000+ in one barbarian city. Then I razed another city, and I went -30.000, and my army went on strike for a single turn. The next city I captured gave the ridiculous pillagin amount of 1.200.000 gold!!!!
Same thing happenned in another game, at early eras, where I got 250.000 gold from a single city again.
Anyone else got this? Is this a bug or is it predictable by chances?
Oh, and I usually play games on prince difficulty.
