Why is it in German? I associate German-language maps with those of the Holy Roman Empire and its various subdivisions.

Back in the day the Altered Maps threads used to be for alt-history maps and other sorts of map-related make-believe.
Then at some point it became Graphs and Charts, Now with maps!

I liked the early Altered Maps better. I'm a bit tired of infographics.

yesterday, I promised Takhisis South Dakota as consolidation for his failure to become king of Finland. However, you may dispute his claim and other's, as well as come up with all sorts of compromises

I had to think about this.. I thought you were describing some real-world phenomenon that's only clear to those who have crossed the border there.. ... then I looked at the map again

Pretty sure its dutch because A. It's South Africa and B. He's dutch.

I claim the San Francisco GBay Area and Fire Island (just make it Long Island and perhaps NYC) as the Princely States of Queeristan. The title for rulers both male, female and intersex is Queen.

It's German.
I traced the outline of the continent from a German map of... 1900 I believe?
It was only prudent to make it German
Also, it looks like a Victorian map because that's the style i was going for

Cybrxkhan can have the rest of California, but at least the San Francisco Peninsula is a well-defended redoubt of Princely Queeristan. Rather dead than straight!

You will need to come up with a name

Will you be taking all of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island? (I will allow it, but some other people might not (I kind of want some tension))

You can also request a colour

I will update San Francisco bay when cybrxkhan has made some input

I think I'll go for dark green in colour and call my new realm the Kingdom of Nova Alba.

Those six states aren't that expansive in landmass and form a neat border, so let's go for it.
