Speaking of banning, iirc it is by someone banned from a comic convention recently ^^

like if you are going to cite a "warship" ... come back with somewhat bigger things . Because if Sophie 1,60 in height makes no impression that's a Yamato there in the corner .

that's 500 000 tons of battleship "planned" . Should have been twice as long as the tanker . Just checked the web and see that the largest tankers are now at 415 meters or whatever .

Can you translate the Greek?

as usual an anti-NATO diatribe , but also needs an explanation . The essense of the Balkan Pact or whatever is ...

to keep the lines of communications to Çekoslovakya open . Seriously . While Italy is the aggressive party and stuff , there is this weird acceptance that it will fail at re-armament . Or at least will not perform stellarly . Germany is naturally in an entirely different class . So , by maintaining the French system of Little Entente , the Balkan countries will not have to face the wrath of Germany as long as Czechoslovakia stands . Even in a worst case scenario of Poland being extensively deterred by Berlin . As long as American freighters can dock in Romanian ports , there is absolutely no problem . Even active Italian participation in a war should not be able to close the Suez Canal . When the Czechs are stabbed in the back to ensure -uhm- the Great Patriotic War , the Balkan countries like feel forced to adopt . While Stalin himself is fond of talking about the evil Çekoslovak Bahriyesi and how the Japanese supply submarines in return for the heroin factories in Istanbul , it doesn't seem a reliable thing to -uhm- consider .

and of course Metaxas was still a keen thinker . Truly objected British offers of help after the Italian invasion because he knew the British plans were all about a 50 division strong Balkan Command to fight Germans . Or even to "provide stability in a broken Eastern Europe" , upto Kiev on a minimum . The bulk of which would not be Christians . Greeks hoped to get the Dodecanese as war reperations . Metaxas died for suggesting others could make there first , despite the ever present British naval supremacy .

and the Bulgarians did not fight in the German invasion because of the thing that Turkey still was a party to the Entente .

and the amazing thing . The Germans promised Selanik to the Yugoslavs and made Bulgarians accept it , too . You know , fear about existantial threats . Which then explains the extreme anger of Adolf when Roosevelt had the coup in Belgrade ...

Germans indeed promised Thessalonike to Yugoslavia. But the coup would have happened anyway, since there was actual popular sentiment against going into that war.
Bulgaria obviously did take part in the war, and also committed ethnic cleansing. Turkey wouldn't enter, but "magically" got help after the war despite playing zero part in it. It was the only regional country that Hitler loved, after all.
PS, it was the third time a greek army took control of the greek minority regions in Albania (first balkan war, ww1, ww2), and the third time the region was not given to Greece after a war.

One of the major reasons the balkan entente was formed, was that after rearmament, Bulgaria openly was asking for western Thrace to be returned (it lost it in ww1). It's why Turkey was approached as supposed ally (back then it wasn't expressing any border-changing aspirations).

lucky you . You would have never been accused of plotting Pearl Harbour . Not sure if that really happened but people expected stuff to happen with Churchill in power .

and yes , it is Turkey or whatever that pulled the thing in with seperate deals with each country previously . Remember Prague .

Map of "greater India" in the new parliament has upset some people who live in some of the bits
Spoiler Controversy :
The map includes parts of Afghanistan, and the entire Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Myanmar.

India’s foreign ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said in a media briefing the mural depicts the spread of the ancient Mauryan Empire and “the idea of responsible and people-oriented governance that [King Ashoka] adopted and propagated”.

However, during the inauguration of the new parliament building on May 28, India’s minister for parliamentary affairs as well as coal and mines, Pralhad Joshi, had described the mural as a map of the Akhand Bharat – a decades-old, right-wing fantasy that imagines an ethnic Hindu nation in the subcontinent.

You forgot to mark Wetminsteros over London.
