Excellent find!

He made it himself :p

And did a damn fine job of it too.

Really? I'm doubly impressed.

edit: (Oh, so it is! I see the initials at the bottom, now.)

Very good map, TK!

How a million refugees can even fit in Lebanon is beyond me.

Agloe, New York
FictionalAgloeNewYork.PNG

Agloe, New York is a fictional place in Delaware County, New York, that became an actual landmark. It was added to the map as a copyright trap, but someone built a store there and started to use the made up name.

Wait, what is going on here?

Look at China, the middle east, USA, Mexico, Russia, Scandinavia, the Balkans, Benelux, Australia, "Indochina" etc.
Haha, didn't notice those ! I did some digging and the map is an alternate history map - not quite what i wanted to post, but good enough for the topic that was south american ultranationalism. :)

So ultranationalistic it changes reality itself

"Don't Cry for me Argentina" top-youtube hits in the past ?

Women in parliament

Remarks:
- Rwanda #1 (the Chamber of Deputies is 64% female)
- The Middle East performs poorly except for the American puppet states (where there's a quota), Israel, Algeria, and Tunisia.
- Saudi Arabia sits relatively high at 20% representation due to a recently-introduced quota (prior to this the Consultative Assembly was all-male)
- Rwanda is not an outlier; there's a band of progressive parliaments in mostly Commonwealth countries along the east coast of Africa.
- Swaziland spoils the party, as well as, surprisingly perhaps, Botswana
- West Africa on the other hand looks backward by comparison with the exception of Senegal.
- Nepal is no surprise, having experimented with all kinds of progressive legislations since the end of the monarchy (Actual results may vary)
- Western/Eastern Europe divide
- FPTP systems outside of East Africa do poorly, with the exception of Canada
- Rubber-stamp parliaments do not have a significantly higher female representation than nearby democracies
- USA #96

And in no surprise to anyone, GRR Martin based A Song of Ice and Fire on the Wars of the Roses and the works of Maurice Druon, chronicling Philip IV and his heirs.

The Irish part is somewhat striking though!

So the Dothraki are Irish? I'd say they're French/Spanish and the Free Cities are the Netherlands, but all righty.

Exactly, the shape is too similar to be purely accidental. The North, meh, not so much except the Wall, whose inspiration with the Hadrian's Wall is a well-known fact.

The North does look a bit like England and Wales.
