The British guardsman popping up in (all?) the Dominions/former imperial territories made me chuckle.

Because Amnesty International's art department either sucks at geography or doesn't know anything about Indonesia to substitute something better. Or both. Take your pick!

My guess is that they couldn't use it in the geographically correct location, Iwo Jima being a tiny Island south of Japan, so they slipped it into the nearest convenient island. To be fair, the tip isn't too far off, give or take a thousand kilometers, and the flag makes a half-decent substitute for the Philippines.

That's... actually pretty neat if it's the case, though I think Dachs' second option is more likely.

Anyway, @ warpus, awesomesauce.

Europe is defined as everything up to the Urals border. the Union should admit everyone, excluding Russia. and their hench nations.

well they should split Russia into two. the western half remains the Russian federation, while the other part becomes Soviet Siberia.

Now those Greeks they are examples to follow :)

the Greeks are a competent people, but they have had an unsustainable economy for years to maintain such a high standard of living.

at least that's what i heard.

Well, as far as public debt is concerned, other industrialized countries also have high debt vs GDP ratio.

Hehe we're not saying that we're in the centre of the EU, we're saying we're in the centre of geographical europe ;)

As for the map I posted, I just noticed that New Zealand is missing..

They may have been a competent people in the past, but nothing about Greek history over the past 5 centuries begets a description as "competent" :p
