With the Nazi map, why would Ethiopia be considered 'Germanic or once controlled by Germanic groups'?

Italy controlled Ethiopia, and Italy had the Visigoths, Ostrogoths, Vandals and Lombards.

Italy conquered Ethiopia? I thought they never fully controlled it and were driven out.

Ethiopia went under Fascist Italian administration, but weren't driven out immediately. They were driven out after a very short while, though.

They were expelled from Italy during the East African campaign in 1940-41, about 4-5 years after Ethiopia was annexed.
