35 pages. I'm wondering how long it will take to read all this. For now I will vote randomly.
Vote: Cuthillius
If it wasn't for the fact that there is well over 700 posts, this would be...well yeah.
But as it is, I don't think its scummy in itself. Could be let slide, safely.
Hey, I've actually read three hundred-odd of the 700 posts here, mister. No content in any of them, nothing else to go on due to the extended Day phase, I'm not reading the other half.
I've read every single one of them (and remember maybe 50). IMO, it does get better and more content as it goes on, albeit still a lot of fluff and short posts.
Yep, I was away this weekend

And man, we have a lot of posts already! Based on a
very cursory scan, I'll vote
Zack.
At this stage, I can see this being legit. Could well be bussing between Zack and landlubber, although the continued focus on one another, as landlubber has a reasonable chance of being lynched now (compared to before, of 1/2 votes), makes it unlikely this is the case.
Also Zack is getting a town lean from me, from the more recent posts.
Another thing, can we please dispense with the meta game arguments, especially from other sites. I don't play there, and nor do I want to read three other game's worth of posts just so an argument can be made on how a player plays when (s)he's town or scum. Guess what? I can't be bothered to keep up here. You think I want to read them too? It's also difficult to treat such arguments with any more than a grain of salt, especially when I don't know your specific motivation for making said argument. Anything can be spun a particular way to suit an argument, and for crying out loud it's day one. We're really going there already?
I agree with the main point of the post, it has been a very large amount of posts, most of which aren't useful.
I do however think the game will be one of the higher posting ones because of the set up (no cop, close to vanilla in general), so less out of thread actions to go on. And out of thread banned for town. So all of that would have to go in thread. That being said, there is a big difference between 500 meaningless extra posts and 200 extra large content meaningful posts.
Directly on the quoted point though, I don't see it as a bad thing that threads have been linked. Very bad to expect everyone to read them, but for an option to be skimmed through to get a general idea of someones playstyle, I think its helpful. As its an option to read through for people who play a lot here, having examples can be nice. As an entire basis for a lynch, bad, expecting people to have read them, bad, but just having the links...I don't see the problem.
I would also prefer a general change to at least multi quoting, and perhaps dialing the activity back a bit. We're rapidly heading to a burn out situation where half the native player base will essentially check out of the game. At least, that's what happened in the Toy Story game on the Playground. And the activity divergence wasn't this extreme.
Less fluff, more content. Agreed.
CANADA IS IN POLAND
Visor - Why the change to Al Sips, brave move given the bashing LL has had from Zack "lock" Town.
Why is Zack lock town?
I don't think the LL/Zack conversation is particularly indicative of anything, and I actually suspect it might be two townies arguing.
Used to disagree, now agree, but very possible it was a bus attempt to start with, and didn't feel like they could pull out of it. That being said, I don't believe in that theory. Getting townie leans on both because of it all.
Surely it's one or the other.
Really not sure why you think it can't be both? Aside from you knowing your alignment. I've seen nothing that concretely puts any 2 people as not both being scum, although I do have some vague feelings in that direction in some cases.
Votes need to be shifted onto either Cuth or Al Sips
Out of what I remember are the main current candidates, I'd have:
Cuth
Al Sips
Landlubber
Glossy
Visor
as my order of preference.
