[BTS Module] Israel

To be truthful to you all, I'm just about finishing up the mod. I just have to finish writing civilopedias, but perhaps I could make future versions.

Israel?
Oy vey!

[while the religious concept of Israel is fine, silly to me Mr. atheist, but fine. I can't help but think the modern political state has done just as much evil as has been done to it]

 not this again, if you want to debate, there are other forums with discussions about this topic:D

Well anyway, if there is anything to do to help just let me know. Also, if you would like anyone to test it bofore the official release just let me know. I enjoy helping other people work through their projects as much as I can.

I know I'm joining the conversation a little late, but why not have a modern UU?

A Kibbutznik could be a uniquely Israeli replacement for Infantry that would have better defensive properties and would satisfy those who want some mention of Kibbutzim as a unique part of modern Israeli culture

Actually, most of the UUs are modern, I only have two not modern ones out of the total 5 UU's

5 UUs for Israel? What are they?

Maccabee, Maryannu, Magach, Palmach, and Shayetet 13

I actually just finished the mod, tonight. so it should be available soon, after I give it to you to preview/check

Nice. A buddy at mine at work wanted this civ...,must tell him about it...

It's probably a little late, but early on in the thread was posed a question about other leaders. I'd vote for Moses.

This may be a revolting choice, but Herod ? Did he not build engineering marvels at great cost both financial and slave labor ? Like Masada and the Herodium.

I would also look for a modern Israeli leader

I was debating about Moses, but in the end I decided not to include him. Perhaps in future versions because i'm already finished the mod, I just have someone trying it out for errors.

As it is, love the mod! Hope you do decide to do a few more leaders.

My picks:

Moses
Abraham
Joshua
Golda Meir
Ariel Sharon
Shimon Peres (for my own Civ ambitions I plan on doing a semi-modern mod based around 1984 )
Herod

Last but not least: Solomon (cause he's always picked! LoL! )

For me it's about choice. I'd be happy with a halfway decent 2d pic if you didn't want to animate LH anymore. I will say good job with David though! He looks great as does your whole mod.

I finished the mod already :) , but could use some of these in future updates.

I know this thread is quite old, But I have a better UB for ancient Israel. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mikvah
The Mikvah is unique for Israel and been founded in several archeological sites.
It is better than the Kotel, which is a single building that was built by the Romans (Herod).
Mikvah- replaces aqueduct
+2 :health:, a free priest and -25% war weariness.

That's great, but the only reason I would say no is that mikvahs are found all over the world. They are used for religious purposes, and although Judaism is very closely related to Israel, I wouldn't want to make that connection to the point where it is the unique building.
