Crusader Kings 2

I'm thinking it might be the crown laws in Norway that prevent the realm from passing outside due to inheritance. I'd have to knock off both sisters.

Have you had that moment where you were a imperial dynasty that you created with your own hands on Ironman, only for you to end up seeing the empire disappear not through conquest but through a succession occurrence, which sees you the Chief of the Canaries? I had a wonderful game as the Haestein Dynasty, having began with a prepared invasion of Wessex, followed by subjecting the Norse Yorkshire into my dynasty so that I could become King of England. The 5th char, Linda, managed to become the first Empress of Britannia. Marriage allowed my char to inherit the Norse religious head, who was Denmark, then over the time the empire went from Finland to north Germany to France to Portugal and Rome. The Kingdom of Italy was among the strongest Catholic power in the end. Norway and Sweden stood with the Norse kingdom of Rus. The Tengi faith reformed. Andalusia was under the Shia Caliphate.

The Shia Caliphate declared a Jihad on Portugel while I was defending against the Sunni Jihad on Africa. I had gained Portugel from the Shia Caliphate by a earlier Great Holy War. The Jihad went back and forth: the Caliphate and his friends occupied, I managed to win epic battles. Our numbers reduced and land once again reoccupied, I regrouped forces... then in one epic battle the Emperor was slain... along with the Empire.

I think I was a fault in this; I had earlier managed to get Primogeniture for Britannia but not for the Kingdom of England which I still held on to, which had a succession issue with my second heir likely to get both Wessex and England. That said there was no hint that the Empire would die after that...

On the plus side the map would make good for a EU4 game, even if the Kingdom of England now is based around London... still Norse Portugal stands.

Can somebody tell me if this is a good collection of DLC for $20?

I wouldn't say that it's a bad price, far from it. I'd happily have paid £12 for the RD, LoR and SoI, with maybe The Republic and SI thrown in too, let alone the base game with all that. Even the Dynasty Shield packs are pretty cool. If you're prepared to wait, however, you may well be able to get them cheaper elsewhere.

A few mods use the Mongol Faces pack and possibly some others.

I hate paying for stuff I already have (the expansion DLCs, not all the faces and songs and stuff), so I'm going to be skipping the bundle.

The songs might be worth it if they played more or sounded more distinct. I don't even know if I've heard one.

Yeah, I only rarely listen to the in-game music. Usually have metal or soundtracks from other things playing.

I enjoy the background music, especially the Norse songs.

Huh, I guess I have heard it then.

I like the songs from Vanilla, don't get me wrong. It's just that when I'm playing for the entire day, they get a bit repetitive.

Of course there is also the grand music for the Game of Thrones mod.

Tyrion and Tywin both get excellent themes respectfully.

The GoT music is admittedly pretty bully.

I've recently have/had (not sure) to reinstall windows on my computer, and when I now try to reinnstall crusader kings 2 from steam, none of the dlc are listed on the launcher, and when I press to start the game from the launcher, it just shuts off.

Any ideas for what I can do? I didn't uninstall the files from the now lost windows I had before, but should that be a problem?

Edit: I did some things, and the problem seems solved.

What are we looking at? The customised interface for the AGoT mod?

You may know him from 21 Jump Street, 22 Jump Street, Moneyball, The Wolf Of Wall Street...
