The new Muslim nation naming system is much better, the only place it doesn't really work is in Spain.

I think you can mod it so that the Spanish territories are forced to use the old, territorial names, but I'm not entirely sure. I'll check later.

I checked, and it is indeed possible. This line:
dynasty_title_names = no # Will not be named "Seljuk", etc.
by default only exists for Rum, but it can be applied to any title, in common/landed_titles/landed_titles.txt. Note that it has to be applied to every title you want to change.

Isn't there a way to do something like that based on the ruler's culture? (I may be wrong)

Ah yes, that too. That's probably a better way, although it means if (in this case) an Andalusian cultured ruler would come to power in another region that it would take the geographic name instead of the dynasty name.

Why? AHD and DW are DLC. The only difference is now they are making mini expansions every few months instead of one big one every year.
For a variety of reasons, I vastly prefer a complete base game with major expansions instead of several more little components. Adding up the price on all these mini-expansions, I'm certain they are making more money off their consumers for the features provided.

I'm not entirely sure how to feel about their new expansion policy. On the one hand, SoI really only is one change (playable Muslims). On the other, the companion patch is impressive. It's a bit like Paradox gave us the expansion (1.06) but is selling us the "patch" (SoI).

It was calligraphy. I must say I don't even understand why we're not allowed to draw the prophet, I heard it was to prevent idol worship like the Christians did with Jesus and Mary.
Non-Muslims can do whatever the hell they want, and depictions of Mohammed, though rare, are produced by some sects of Muslims (i.e. in Iran).
