Fresh cut, light taste because they fry them in peanut oil...nothing better in my opinion.

They might be an acquired taste, because most fries are ground potato paste reformed into a fry shape, which gives them a much different texture.

I think In N Out is probably acquired taste. They seem rather weak and not rich enough for my preference, but eh it's just my preference, too flimsy and not that flavorful.

My favorite fries are Wendy's, I think.

EDIT: relevant chart, so we can technically be on topic:

I'm starting to wish I lived in a country where you are hamburgers because you wanted to, and not just because nowhere else is open.

I know that the Scottish Highlands are a magical place, but I've never met anyone who could become a hamburger at will.

I thought he was saying the place you can be a hamburger was specifically not the Scottish Highlands.

I don't know. After all, wild haggises have been spotted there.

I absolutely hate the "water efficient" plumbing devices, who the hell wants a showerhead with no pressure or a non-functioning toilet? If you really wanted to save water in California go after agriculture or lawn care on the state level.

Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems to me that the UK is lacking in quality burger joints (and the global chains don't count). I was even told by someone who had traveled North America extensively that you won't find pizza or cheeseburgers like you can on the other side.

And I remember reading in New Scientist that UnitedStatesians have a markedly sweeter tooth than most other people in The West™.

Based on anecdotal evidence from relatives and family friends, this is true. Americans also apparently like their food saltier, oilier, etc.

It would point to their being… unsubtle.

Captains Obvious.

I just returned from a vacation in the American South. I congratulate it on being the first region of the world that could make me involuntarily gain weight. (though really, the word involuntarily is redundant in the sentence)

I am not to blame for the inferiority and weakness of character of the Amerikaner public.
