I got talking to the sergeant-major of a camp near Ottowa a couple of years back, and he told me that he'd just been moved from his last posting at Vancouver - he decided to drive, and it took him two weeks. By that map, that's about the same as driving from Madrid to Damascus. For those of us used to European scale, Canada is huge.

He drove slow. But Canada is huge. Even the closer parts of Canada are huge. I took a week once to drive around Nova Scotia alone, and didn't get everywhere. And 95% of it has hardly any people at all in it. It takes 4 hours to drive between Montreal to Quebec city, and those are 2 of the cities which are "near" one another.

I wanted to say that so bad, but it is evidently a simplified model because that's really the only way these charts work.

They may be counting the others as variations on the main colors. Like hazel to black would fall under the category of brown, gray would fall under blue, that sort of thing.

I looked at the map, saw the top left corner, looked again at the map, and thought "this is not Ghana". Did not occure to me that this is Canada .

If I marry a green eyed brunette, then it will be even chance of either green or blue eyes.

It takes 4 hours to drive between Montreal to Quebec city, and those are 2 of the cities which are "near" one another.

2 hours and a half at 110 km/h(68,3508 m/h) unless you drive into a snow storm... but it's not funny at all.
