What area is turkey's spawn flip zone? In my Byzantine game I'm trying to judge where to position my troops to spawn kill the Turks and I'm afraid of them flipping.

All of Anatolia, I think, and a line from Antioch to that lake. That's how it is for me.

Just saw that edead updated RFCM, so you can expect DoC to take over his changes the next days as well.

:D

@AOS9001:
I thought the holy land flipped to Turkey too but that could simply be the fact that minor tribe Byzantium owned it and they are programmed to flip all Byzantine territory (Except European obviously)

Looking forward for the speed tweaks.:D BTW, when will you release a new patch?

Is the italics around the word lake meant to indicate that it isn't a lake?

No, does your comment mean that you don't have a sense of humor?
Spoiler :
And the question is retorical, so no need to answer it.

And that lake is the Caspian Sea.

Right, I forgot they went that far. I was talking about that one north of Mesopotamia, I guess the Caucus region left my mind. But they flip everything north of Antioch, and everything east of C-town. Arabia flips the whole Levant south of Tyre.

I started two games As Chinese yesterday, first I oracled currency, then I found that so many wonders require Christianity, and I wasn't its founder, so I started over and oracled theology second time.

Economy didn't do as well as the first time, but later it grew stronger. Although we lost marble in China (but China has marble in Dali, Yunnan, we call marble as Dali stone...), I was able to build nearly every pantheon wonders except useless ones.

Yeah, I originally removed marble when it was required to build classical wonders, so I guess I can bring it back.

Lately I think there isn't really enough competition for classical wonders. I play Egypt a lot, and regularly I only ever have one main competitor. At the start this is babylon, but usually they are then destroyed by the Persians or convert to Zoroastrianism. Then I have Greece and Phoenicia, but Phoeneicia's production is very weak, so basically just greece. When Rome spawns, Greece and/or Phoenica tend to be destroyed, leaving only Rome, which later converts to Christianity...

I like that the Vikings quite often use Pantheon to represent their norse gods, but by the time they've spawned I've already built all the good wonders :p

Ekolite, that's why I think the AI should have some extra bonuses (like less build time for some stuff, not necessarily wonders). :)

I was thinking that some buildings could be built faster with certain materials (libraries with marble; walls, castles, barracks with stone). Idk if it would REALLY be a good idea, but it would get the AI to build certain bluildings faster...

On a side note, I've been playing a lot of games as France lately (from 600 ad start). I have been burning down the city of Francfort (as that is the name when the french conquer frankfort) before Germany's spawn and building Stuttgart after. It shouldn't really affect the german's stability, yet they almost always collapse...

They collapse because you control parts of their core. :)

Can you make France more aggressive against Germany? I'm Spain have him as a vassal and am warring with Germany, but he isn't that aggressive

check this out. Not sure if it's a bug or a glitch but somebody broked my byzantium!

This start generated with a freshly updated svn.

Aarrgghh can't play other rome either. Crashes at end turn. save attached

Because they are your vassal, therefore they [vassals] tend not to attack or be much aggressive. But I do agree, it would be nice if France would turn into a more "Napoleon" type France, and conquer Germany and Italy and what not.

I pumped near 30 conquistadors into him along with 10 cannon and techs with a helping of large funding (from the 70000 I filched off Mali)

hmmm, is it possible to code the Ai to change after certain techs are researched, so France after Democracy and Germany after Fascism would get more aggresive for example?

also, sometimes what i do is gift conquered cities to my vassals, and when they get retaken they will send out an army to take it back. Once the army is in the field they tend to respond to my "why don't you attack..." suggestions. I have tried many times to work a strategy in which I set up puppet governments through my vassals but it rarely works as well as I think it should. The Ai is too stupid and random i think. It usually ends up with my uber army following around some stupid mini AI army and softening up cities hoping they will take them.
