Spring 1902
FRENCH COUNTERATTACK
The temporary French leader, Alfred (Dachspmg) Dreyfus, who had been previously imprisoned under suspicion of aiding the Germans (which, although false, later proved true), led a French counterattack into Marseilles, while at the same time protecting Paris. The Spanish have conquered the West Coast and are poised to reinvade Marseilles or invade Paris, though their intentions are unknown
CONFUSION IN THE NORTHERN WAR!
Confusion abounds in the Northern War, causing many difficulties. The Norwegians invaded Norway, expecting Russian aid to evict the English, however the Russians never came, leaving the English in power. The English attempted to leave Norway for the North Sea, with German aid, however they forgot to realise that they had told the Germans to help the Norwegian Sea troops invade the North Sea. Furthermore, the Norwegian Navy in Prussia were originally ordered to help defend landlocked Warsaw. There was a mutiny, the second in two years, the first coming after the order leaks, and they were the ordered to hold their ground, unsuccessfully as the Germans reconquered Prussia.
WAR OF THE MEDITERRANEAN
Austria and Italy are fighting again, despite an Italian Peace Treaty. They apologized to Austria, however they had deceitful intentions, invading Greece and Trieste yet again, however they failed to realise that if it didn't work the first time, why would the same moves work the second time around? Italian troops are ready to mutiny against their leaders while the Austrians advance towards Venice.
BALKAN CONFLICT AVERTED?
The Russians, though still fuming at Turkey about the loss of Rumania, made their peace with them and in fact helped defend Rumania from a potential Austrian invasion. The Invasion never came, as the Austrians are looking to the west to fight with Italy, leaving the Balkans surprisingly peaceful for the former Powder Keg of Europe.
