Then now you will have to show what sin he is committing in saying that the second guy is not a Christian.
You mean like bearing false witness against thy neighbor? Or is that (as MobBoss attests) only relevant to statements made under oath?

No wonder that Justice Department lawyer who went to Pat Robertson's law school is pleading the 5th - it's obviously what Jesus would do.You mean like bearing false witness against thy neighbor? Or is that (as MobBoss attests) only relevant to statements made under oath?
Notice how this passage is not saying that you cannot judge, but if you are going to judge someone first, make sure that you are right with what you are judging about. It says clearly that those are judge better be right when they are judging. Because if you have not sorted out your problems first, then you are an hypocrite.

But given that Thompson is running on a family values platform under the Republican banner, isn't the "I don't think" and "that's my impression" false since Dobson, being politically aware knows that most Republicans running under a family value platform is likely to be a professed Christian? How can he not think Thompson is a Christian or be under the impression tyhat he is not? It is just laughable to think that Dobson is doing anything other than falsely bashing a guy that isn't his horse in the race.Dobson said, "I don't think..." and "that's my impression." Hardly an absolute statement. Is the 11th commandment "Thou shalt not muse."?

No, because most candidates for the GOP nomination are professed Christians, it is a big stretch to believe Dobson was doing anything other than dishonestly bashing Thiompson. So because many Republicans are Christians, we should assume that all are?

Amazing how they'll twist and turn for this guy.
@ colontos:
I don't think colontos is a sane person; at least that's my impression.
Please take no offense, just musing.
Sorry, but I do take offense. Is your only debate tactic to call people who disagree with you, insane?

Thompson is contemplating a run. Dobson isn't mentioning him at random.Currently Thompson isnt running at all. Perhaps thats your first mistake?
Most former Republican Senators are on the record about their faith and none have professed to be atheists. There may be a few Jews, but the overwhelming majority profess themselves as Christians.Perhaps because Thompson hasnt previously commented on it one way or the other? Most christians profess their faith openly, and are encouraged to do so.
A man like Dobson, who doesn't give me the impression of being a Christian, can have an opinion, whether he is actually Christian or not. When that opinion comes across as bashing someone, then he can expect to get called out for it.Again, an athiest basically saying that a christian cant have an opinion because having one is 'bashing' someone. .
He is seen by many Republicans as someone who can get the nomination over the liberal 3 Republican frontrunners if he chooses to run. Yesterday, the Wall Street Journal did an article featuring Thompson's "Tennessee Mafia" connections (sort of like Bush's Texas mafia, except with substance). He is a horse many are hoping and expecting will get in the race. Same with Dobson's boy, "Serve-divorce-papers-at-the-hospital" Gingrich. And again....Thompson is currently no ones horse in the race.
It wasn't a debate tactic, it was a parody of your argument.
Man, Knowltok's point went so high over your head, it left a vapor trail.

You might want to change some of your analogies in another thread today where you have me holing up against the cops, Rambo style to protect my drug stash.Correct me if I am wrong, but such user-specific posts, even in parody, are against the TOS/forum rules?
If he wants to parody, then by all means leave out specific posters here. We dont need the flames.

The original analogy was yours. The person you put in as the drug hiding criminal was me.Ah...thats not my doing...thats you overstating your ability by several magnitudes.
