Deceive? Mold? Again, that has nothing to do with how utterly nasty some atheists can be in regards to peoples faith.
And vice versa, I'd note.

I was bashing him before he was elected Governor of Texas.Come on, it was kewl to bash Bush before he was elected.
Judge not, lest ye be judged, Mr. Dobson.
So enlighten us in what the verse does mean. Does it mean that Christians should stay out of the judicial branch of the government? That seems to be what you are getting at with your emphasis on "sit" in judgment, even though the word sit does not appear in the quoted verse.Again, one of the most mis-interpreted scriptures of the bible, most often used to try and indicate that christians are not allowed to have an opinion - which is totally false.
Dobson isnt judging the man at all, does not 'sit' in judgement over him in any way, and is merely giving his own opinion based solely upon the information he has.
Sorry, but Christians are allowed to have opinions too.

"We welcome the opportunity to clarify Dr. Dobson's remarks that were first reported in Dan Gilgoff's online article titled 'Dobson Offers Insight on 2008 Republican Hopefuls: Focus on the Family Founder Snubs Thompson, Praises Gingrich.'
"At the outset, it's important to note that this headline is an outright mischaracterization of the views Dr. Dobson expressed. His words weren't intended to represent either an endorsement of former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich or a disparagement of former Sen. Fred Thompson. Dr. Dobson appreciates Sen. Thompson's solid, pro-family voting record and his position that Roe v. Wade was wrongly decided.
"In his conversation with Mr. Gilgoff, Dr. Dobson was attempting to highlight that to the best of his knowledge, Sen. Thompson hadn't clearly communicated his religious faith, and many evangelical Christians might find this a barrier to supporting him.
"Dr. Dobson told Mr. Gilgoff he had never met Sen. Thompson and wasn't certain that his understanding of the former senator's religious convictions was accurate. Unfortunately, these qualifiers weren't reported by Mr. Gilgoff. We were, however, pleased to learn from his spokesperson that Sen. Thompson professes to be a believer.
"With regard to Mr. Gingrich, while Dr. Dobson spoke positively about his intelligence and his ability to articulate conservative values, he expressed concern about the former speaker's past moral failures.
"You may be aware that Mr. Gingrich recently appeared on a Focus on the Family broadcast to discuss America's Christian heritage and the threat posed by radical Islam. Prior to the interview, Dr. Dobson asked Mr. Gingrich if he'd be willing to talk about his family life on the air because he felt our friends deserved an explanation.
"Those who listened to the exchange heard nothing indicating that Dr. Dobson excused Mr. Gingrich's past indiscretions. The former speaker was offered a chance to address the subject openly and honestly, and he did so, stating, 'I have turned to God and have gotten on my knees ... and sought God's forgiveness.'
Dobson was questioning the status of a man's immortal soul by questioning wheter he was even a Christian.No...it means simply that man sits in judgement over peoples actions here on earth....and that only God sits in judgement over people themselves. I cant judge your immortal soul...only God can do that.....but I can judge you for being a pedophile..
Looks like spinning after the fact at its finest to me, since the good Dr. sent his spokeperson out for the task. Guess we have a different judgment, er, opinion, on the matter.Selective reporting at its finest. Too bad there are people like Jollyroger out there to readily give such mischaracterizations a big thumbs up.

Dobson gets misquoted unfairly all the time. He also misspeaks quite a bit and has to have his spokesperson come out and spin. Even many on the Conservative blogs think the spokesperson is spinning. So clarifying the obvious is spin to you? Figures. You would drop stone cold dead before admitting that someone like Dobson was misquoted unfairly.
Not yet. You are thinking Ted Haggard.Isn't Dobson the gay drug taking Christian? I thought he would have lost credibility to the fundamentalist Christian group.
It's as truthful of a statement as the shot Dobson took at Thompson.I guess no shot is too cheap for a lawyer to take.![]()
No. Dobson was saying he had no idea if the man were a christian or not since Thompson hasnt really made any comment regarding it.
You being an attorney, should, be able to tell the difference.
Dobson said:"[But] I don't think he's a Christian; at least that's my impression,"
Judge not, lest ye be judged, Mr. Dobson.
That is the most misused verse in the Bible because it is so often taken out of context. Here is th context of that verse.
Matthew 7:1-5 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
5Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.
Notice how this passage is not saying that you cannot judge, but if you are going to judge someone first, make sure that you are right with what you are judging about. It says clearly that those are judge better be right when they are judging. Because if you have not sorted out your problems first, then you are an hypocrite.
There are many passages in the Bible are judgemental towards those who might have believed are told to show that they really mean what they are saying is true.
Then now you will have to show what sin he is committing in saying that the second guy is not a Christian.A bit like "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone", eh?
