Don't worry. He'll get better. They always do.
I feel sorry for Volty here.
Silho's Quill Battery is probably one of his deadliest techniques, launching every single one of his quills upward and forward like a barrage of artillery(or arquillery, I thank you!), hence the name. However, it also depletes most of his Menokium reserves. It is an upgrade from his standard Quill Gun, which we've seen in action earlier in DYOS.
Menokium is a powerful substance that the Liomati created through unknown(but graphic I tell you) means; it can replace just about any form of sustenance, and all five projects of Dr. Ting (Silho, Florence, Voltaire, Locke, and Lyev) run on it. It gives them incredible abilities, such as their agelessness, regeneration, and super strength, but without it, they become quite weak and mortality sets in.
Silho maintains enhanced abilities in the form of the metal in his skeleton, but he becomes far less potent - for one, he cannot regrow his quills like before(so yes, if we see him after this, he will be "bald."). This removes his deadliest weapons, as each quill has a bit of metal in it as well... rendering each one a bit akin to a bolt from a ballista.
Voltaire, unlike all the others, can store electricity in his body, which gives him an edge over all four of his siblings.
Probably the most graphic thing I've ever drawn; I hope it isn't too graphic for CFC!
Also a teaser for what's to come:
