DwarfNES: Into the..ground?

Well I read the wiki, and I have one thing to say.... why, oh why I've been posessed :(

You aren't possessed anymore. You made an artifact and gained to skill for doing it. Unlike Thlayli and Nuclear Kid. Who are both legendary at their professions now.

One of the traps has captured us a mating partner for our live chipmunk hopefully.
 
I know. But it sucks that when you're possessed and making artifact, you gain no skill. :|

A somewhat outdated image of the coin vault. We have gold and silver coins now to, all those are zinc.

The problem with large fortresses are that everything takes forever to get done. I am going to stick with this one until we get a siege or two but I ordered traps to be built 20 minutes of play time ago and they still aren't/ Thats how slow it gets.
 
Yes I meant to say that TerrisH smacked a goblin thief so hard it flew 10 tiles and tore its leg off.
 
We're going to have to start a new fortress with a much lower population cap. I am getting 10 FPS and nothing gets done at this speed. Sorry my PC can't handle it.

Would anyone like to put names forward for a new fortress? I can take as many people as you want. But I am going to limit the population to 25. And start in a much more dangerous location. Like a jungle island or something.
 
If anyone wants the old save they I can upload it.

I also added two mods to my game. Adding 80 new creatures, including penguins, and 20 plants that are edible. So there should be a variety of things to do.

I would like to have 10 people for a start this time or as many as we can get so we can turn off immigration and just live it out.

I also kind of want some goals. One of my goals for the new fort is to capture all the land animals in the region I can and make an outdoor and indoor zoo. So we can have happy thoughts, meat and exotic leathers. So that would require us bringing 3 or so trappers/trainers.

Hmm. What's the IC story for what happened to our last fort? Iggi went on a whim and declared that it was too dry, ordering everyone to leave?
 
Question where do you guys want to start? Island (aquifer gives us water but makes mining difficult), Jungle (lots of critters), Galcier or Desert (frozen or zero water).

EDIT: As for the story. If these are the same dwarves, they don't have to be, but saying they are. I assume Iggy lead a rebellion against the coming nobles wanting to keep the wealth for himself, the top suspects were banished with him to a far off location. :p
