So you can think it, but saying it, even privately, is crossing a line? That is a consistent ethical position. It also is one that, unsurprisingly, is not particularly popular.

Saying it is an action, actions have consequences. Thinking it also contributes to bias in decision-making, but that can be inferred backwards at times from the decision. Nobody is a mind-reader.

But this has little to do with conflating the two things I was talking about.

Quoting the NYP is like quoting NewsMax, FoxNews, or Tucker Carlson: All hate all the time for all things not approved by Trump. I guess posting the video was not enough.

That Trump didn't start any new wars is a function of opportunity more than anything else.

Trump was busy feeding the fires of of his war on America from within. He has continuously stoked the flames of division and hate between USians. He doesn't care about International affairs unless he can personally benefit. He does care about keeping his cultists well fed with the red meat of fascism and racial hatred.

There are some other people standing for election on 5th November (our day for burning heretics). Al Jazeera things the dems could win the house, but the point that struck me was a candidate for the Alaska seat:

I do find it oddly amusing that this leaning on morality has become woven into the progressive left, specifically, as a core part of their project.

This disgust at expression of this particular facet of human interaction is often associated with priests or imams, and calls for the standard to be applied to the public and private sphere may even be beyond the expectation of all noteworthy clerical efforts for the past 200 odd years.

Dissent is supposed as male entitlement, somewhat ironic, as if demands men will stop talking about how women look are not an entitlement all their own. No realistic shot of ever being wholly embraced nor enforced, certainly not in a free country, as anyone even vaguely familiar with 18-35 y/o men will know. At least some defection to any side in opposition is consequently inevitable as a result of that facet of this generation of activism.

It's weird where some actions have consequences but other ones seemingly don't. Leftists get chided for their choice of votes all the time. I sure hope that if some dudes feel so threatened by basic modern social standards that they vote for the wrong candidate they'll be similarly criticised.
