There's nothing to worry about. Ukraine is getting cut off from US aid and they will be forced to surrender and accept Russia's terms. That's it.
I'm guessing that Netanyahu is also going to have full reign to do whatever he wants in both Gaza and West Bank now, so there's that as well.

Something tells me that the democratic party won't bother to (even now) switch to Bernie-type candidates.
I can see Bernie being eternal by now, so in theory an AOC-Bernie ticket (Bernie as VP) could be possible. But I don't trust the democratic party's leadership to not work against it.

Good luck alienating your party even further away from the electorate. This will just cause your party to turn inward onto itself, increase the purity checks, and begin to self devour like an oroborus.
Hey, it worked for the Republicans.

Which, to be clear, is not a change from what is currently happening.

Nope. The conventional wisdom will be that they didn't go moderate enough.

Also, there are no "Bernie-type candidates" anyway. Not anymore.

This is an honest question and you may not have an answer but how could they possibly go more moderate than they did this time?

This implies there's somehow a secret stash of lefties dwelling all across the USA who are just waiting for the chosen left candidate to awaken from under their rocks and actually vote Democrat.

Let's face it demographically and population wise there's just not a lot of lefties in America. Everything has to be within the frame of liberalism, progressivism is the furthest left you can go but you need an elder statesman like Obama to marry that subfaction with traditional center left liberals. Thus Obamism is the closest you can get to a genuine left in America.

Is that worse than having a bad sense of humour?
A person with a bad sense of humour may improve.

A person with no sense of humour can only try to simulate one.

So I think having no sense of humour is less fortunate (worse) than having a bad sense of humour.

I thought a platform for the alt-right, including a broad swath of religious types, is to be able to make tasteless jokes without consequences.
I am not sure what you mean, CFC is not such a platform.

Didn’t go on Rogan. 🤦‍♂️
Yeah. At that late stage it wouldn't have made the difference but the issue is she's not the type of person to bother w that 'low brow' stuff.

She just took what she was handed for granted, you don't get the sense she really likes smoozing.

Ok, so libs owned, but what good things do you actually think Trump will do?

His win, will probably help us get rid of our moron in Ottawa. (with luck, the pinhead will just step down)

Any bets about that XL pipeline?

Oh, I can just see a Vance vs AOC debate... snicker.

My prediction now is, it'll be 12 years before the Dems have a realistic shot at regaining the WH.
(short of war, or someone truly charismatic or a mutant) :P

4. Like last time. Unless treason or a fortuitous buying of the farm at a point which Vance doesn't make a hash of it.

Who says they alienated anyone? Clearly they must be loved since they won the popular vote. I also don't see republicans peer pressuring or shaming anyone to not vote democrat.

Dunno 'bout "loved". Self interest? yep.

I'm willing to bet that a lot held their noses and voted for Trump based on the economy etc.
(oh, and that it's only 4 years, and he'll never be able to run again, so maybe he'll shuttup after that. maybe) :P

The popular message by Bernie and AOC is not just about "lefties" but reconnecting to the actual working class. And that is indeed a very popular message.

Is AOC a truckdriver? Is Bernie an oil rigger? Obviously no, both come from liberal white collar states/districts.

Let's face it they only bring in the campus crowd which is unreliable in the general and isn't a sizable demographic that would change the makeup of the races since such peoples dwell in places which are already deeply blue.
