Elizabeth was a good enough ruler. People tended to laugh at her pale ghost-like countenance. Indeed, Liz never went outdoors; the threat of assassination was too great. Still, her skill at diplomacy and the arts won her much respect.

Her advisors especially loved her for her complete ignorance of their plans. For you see, these people were the movers and shakers of Britain--poor Liz was but a puppet in their Great Master Scheme to Rule the World and Oppressing Who Should Be Oppressed. Bah, shove the dame in Shakespeare's theater every once in a while and she'll be content.

Yes, these people were the true rulers of England. In the annals of lore their names were:

What version of the game will this be on?

Whoops, forgot about that. This is on the beta patch for C3C.

I'll keep this one in mind. I need to find out if everyone is XTR1 is patching up, first. I have the patch, just not installed.

Do you have a particular victory in mind?

Not really. This is going to be a standard game with standard settings. We'll get a goal realized when "board is set and the pieces are moving", so to speak.

In other words, as soon as we know all civs and the map, we'll decide our victory.

I would like to play as a learning experience.

But I really am the crappy player and wouldn't want my learning experience to be the other players' game.

I'll be watching. :scan:

But what's the exploitation, then?

We are the people that are exploiting Elizabeth and ruling behind her back. She'll never suspect it!

Count me in. I'm now patched to 1.12. :D Eager to play the English, never have before now. :)

Yay! :D One more daring fellow and we're all set.

Here's a screenshot of the start.

Hmm... I might be interested in joining, though I've never actually won on regent. Just gotten bored or installed a new version or something. :o

But if no one else wants to take the last place, I'm ready to give this a shot. :)

Hoo-hah! The Puppeteers of the Queen are in place! :nya:

I'll start the game pretty quick. :)

The start looks nice. :) Remember to move the scout first...

And Lucky, SG's are excectly the place for trying a game over your current playing level. :) That's what I did. And now I'm playing an SG on Emperor, even though I've never won a game on my own over Regent...

Where are we at on the minimap?

These are standard settings; the minimap is on the screenshot.

The exploitation begins!

4000 BC - Send worker NE to find two ivory! London is settled.

3950 BC - I leave it on Bronze Working for now. Worker starts
mining where he is.

3900 BC - Nothing.

3850 BC - Nothing.

3800 BC - Nothing.

3750 BC - London builds a Warrior. I send him south to a goody hut.

3700 BC - "The Goth tribe has taught us Ceremonial Burial."

3650 BC - With London already building more defense, the Warrior is sent
northward to explore this strange new world.

3600 BC - Worker begins to build road to mine.

3550 BC - Nothing.

3500 BC - Our cultural influence expands; Liz just now notices that the two
ivory are now within our borders.

"Oh! Oh! More pretty things! Necklace I must have!" (This is still the
Stone Age, so her vocabulary is fairly limited. Her stupidity will always
be unmatched.)

"Don't worry, my 'Queen', we will make sure that the workforce connects them."

Change production to Curragh.

3450 BC - Well, well, well; another goody hut. What treasures does it hold?

3400 BC - "The Gepid tribe has taught us Mysticism."

3350 BC - Ivory is connected to the young empire. Elizabeth gets a toy for her patience.

3300 BC - Worker begins mining the ivory.

3250 BC - The curragh is built.

Can you say "Statue of Zeus"? :hammer: Are those two bodies of water to our east fresh or salty?
