great job with that :) - i would eventually give more dirt and ground on the "walls"

it could be cool to make the complete city set

I tryed make city set for my HrochMod 3,2 but it is UV - I think - in Cube projection and my work failed (I don´t know in the concrete why - game no fetch it). I not know, how made it... :(

@ Chugginator, we are getting somewhere in the arda mod, but we do need modellers, SDKers, Pythoners, and to figure out how to fix this huge bug we have that crashes the game. we plan to release a versoin with no SDK changse as soon as that bug is fixed.

you need to use the same texture for all buildings - it should work fine than

Great models, probably both will be into the Arda Mod.
About the Arda Mod, we are truly having some problems: we lack programmers and modellers, and we have a bug in the XML that crashes the game into desktop even before it starts - trying to correct it for a long time, but no luck so far... It's an ambitious mod, but we are making some progress, though the team is small.

Already put the tower in as the, well, the tower, and i'm putting in hobbiton as the shire...

is it when you choose leaders or before?

if during leaders
- check TXT_Files - for all non latin letters - there should be changed to numbers
- try to remove graphics files of units etc - this way you may find wich unit is corrupted
 
it happens during the loading screen( the screens which, in vanilla, say the "in the begining...")

@ Elda King and thomas.berubeg - With the XML bug it shouldn't be too hard to fix.. work out when it started, what files you were modifying right before the crashes and try changing some files to vanilla until it runs then go through the bad files. Of course it is a fair bit of work.

For a unit maker you really need SeZereth, I saw the High Elf he made for you, (which was AWESOME and he said it wasn't his best effort aswell! Amazing). He also has the right idea by basing them off the Middle Earth GamesWorkshop models which look great. And the thing he made that you can use for a Balrog looks amazing. Imagine if he actually specialised a unit for you guys instead of using his Warhammer/Fall from Heaven models. :wow:



I don't know how to bone models, and I'm not good at uvw unwrapping so that rules out new models - but I can texture and edit existing models, aswell as making new shields/swords/buildings etc. but you really need SeZereth to make you a few base models if possible. I don't know how you could convince him though, he seems busy.

Lastly, you need some serious python and SDK guys, but they seem rare. I've tried to compile a vanilla DLL but I had no idea :blush: so I stick to graphics. I've always wanted a LotR mod and other guys here do as well, so surely one of them must know how to code. You really need more members first though.

we think the crash is in the CIVDiplomacyinfo.XML

Maybe it would be easier to start the diplomacy file from scratch? How many leaders have you done so far?

BTW I'll start making an Uruk-Hai for you guys :D It won't be sezereth quality but I'll improvise. It should look ok.

Again very nice work, Hrochland!:) Would you like to create some gothic style buildings as well? Like for a Dracula-Transylvania scenario? I could use that for WH and maybe others for something else.

Concerning Balrogs:
I think a reskin to the Bloodthirstermodel(Hyborem) and attached Fireeffekt would serve well for a Balrog - it has wings and animated ones so a clean nifviewer job that would be.
But if seZ decides to add wings to his meshabber I wouldn't have a problem animating it(but without wings it won't need a custom animation and unanimated wings as attachments usually don't look that nice imo).
