Guess the map 16: No need for that latitude!

Here goes. I have no idea if this will be easy or hard.

Nigeria, the UK, Venezuela and somewhere in the Pacific south of the Galapagos and east of Hawaii, perhaps the Marquesas Islands? That is a diverse mix.

Can I guess at the general area? Natural world, politics, economics, demographics, history?

There's nowhere in the Pacific. That red square just popped up there. I think it means I was supposed to put in a legend, but my maps are so uncomplicated that I don't bother. So ignore that.

It's Nigeria, England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Ireland, and Venezuela.

As for the rest of your questions...

Natural world: no
Politics: no
Economics: no
Demographics: yes
History: Depends on how you want to interpret it (vague, but you'll see why, eventually)

Laws regarding disabled persons?

While it is possible in this case, there's no way for me to know, so I can't answer that. I just don't have enough information either way.

Nigeria, England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Ireland, and Venezuela.
Are each of those considered individually in this matter? That is GB is not part of the equation?

Is the subject the flow of people to or from Nigeria/Venezuela to the various parts of British Iles during some particular time period?

I realize I should have thought this through more.

I'm looking for what these countries have in common, and travel is a huge part of it. To get really detailed about it, their destinations are in England, Wales, and France (which wasn't included in the map because nobody involved in this is from France).

Yes, it's during one particular time period.

Should I just chalk this up to a mess based on an impulse born of after-midnight thinking? Or would anyone like to keep going and see if they can figure this out? Part of the problem is you (general you) keep asking questions that make me realize there are angles to this I never thought of.

I see no reason we cannot keep playing, as long as you can answer questions about the reason.

Is it winners of an award?

Does it involve sport? Fiction?

Is the time period before 2000?
Is it before 1970?
