Guess the map 16: No need for that latitude!

Professional, not professional or Olympic?

Ok, time for people who know sports to step up!

Yes

I am not quite sure the right answer is, but I think it is "no".
No to which one? Or is it a sport that can be played or done any time of year?

Edit: Okay, not Olympics (though there are some events that allow pro athletes to participate, but we're obviously not talking about ice hockey with this collection of countries!)

Related to soccer?

Must be some marginal sport, boxing, weightlifting, wrestling ?
I do not think it is a marginal sport, but then I would not have called boxing a marginal sport. It is none you have mentioned.

It is here, very few practice it, and we’re not very good at it :)

Looking at the map, I think it is something in which numbers matter, larger, populous countries are more likely to be red it seems.

In that case, China and India would be red and they aren't.

Moving on with questions...

Not soccer, wrestling, weightlifting, boxing
Is both an Olympic and non-Olympic sport
Related to professional sport, not amateur...

What time frame are we talking about here?

Is this to do with a World Cup win in whatever the sport is, achieved by athletes in these countries?

Team sport?
Individual sport?

Has Russia been known to "cheat" in this sport in the past?

Players representing these countries have won Wimbledon? Or the men's Wimbledon tournament?

It seems like there should be more, but this feels tennis-y, and apparently Egypt checks out. I haven't checked the others that I'm not sure about

Is tennis a thing in Brazil?

And whatever this is, it's something that Canada hasn't won. I know we've got good tennis players, but have to admit that this is one sport I've never followed.

Bon Voyage!
