Just got Europa Universals III chronicles. So, how much time can I expect a typical game to take? I recall that my few games with EUII were very long, not so sure that it is a good idea to start one without a few days off available...
Oh, and... the game tells me that there are no updates? A game with no patches, no need for patches, presumably? It can still happen these says?
You'd be fooling yourself. Paradox releases beta versions of the game and patches as they go; it's basically their defining trademark as a company. And in order to try to keep the game from being pirated, the sections of their forums with the beta versions of patches can't be visited without having an account that has registered the game in question. Some games never got official versions of certain patches; the patches remained in beta and the rest of the problems were "fixed" with an expansion.Oh, and... the game tells me that there are no updates? 20-30 hours is probably a rough guide for all 400 years, depending on how often you pause, on what speed you play and how frequently you're at war!
There are some Beta patches on the Paradox site for player play-testing, but no official Alpha has been released, yet. They're moving pretty quick, though, so I would expect one within a few months.
I do 200-250 years for 20-30 hours, you pause to much WIM
Well, 20 hours is a bit generous, but 30 is probably more than enough to win a game.![]()
