How is your EU3 Game going?

After a couple of false starts as Aragon, I think I have a keeper:

I need to declare on Castile soon so that there's no possibility of them recovering, but those rebel armies are pretty large. The one in former Portuguese territory is Portuguese nationalist, which is nice. I need to wait for my infamy to drop some anyway.

Do you have core/religion on those North African territories? That'd be a priority over the big stability (and revolt) issues you'd incur by declaring on Castille who is in your cultural/religious group.

Well, unless you have a casus belli.

If you have spies try Fabricating a Claim on their throne.

You're right, there is no zed, but there is a zee.

My latest venture as the Teutonic Knights failed when Novgorod poofed my 13k stack of cavalry.

Update - Reloaded two years prior and got white peace with the first Novgorodian war and got Neva and Ingermanland in the second Novgorodian war. Annexed Riga and acquired Kalisz in a Polithuanian war. But now I'm not trying to get smooshed by Hungary...

honestly I dont think I'm gonna play my Italy game through, it is 1772 and I'm doing nothing but hunting rebels/nationalist/revolutionaries/peasants/patriots/you-name-it all over my country. It is really getting tedious and keeps me away from wanting to play the game.

Try the Magna Mundi mod. The events tend to do away with the monotony of rebel-whack-a-mole.

I just found out that Lorraine starts out with some of the best civics in the game. IIRC they start with 4 centralization, 3 free subjects and 1 free trade. :crazyeye:

Centralisation and free subjects is good, free trade depends on your play style; Mercantalism for the large empire with the infamy 'problem'.

My current Byzantine game I've got serfdom at -1 for cultural spread bonus, but thats because I'm trying to get greek everywhere. Greeks replaced Bulgarian/Serbian/Albanian and I've got Aleppo/Damascus/Jeruselum/Alexandria etc down the Med Coast and I'm working on doing upper and lower Egypt. Its kinda fun but it means no colonisation as you tend to liberally sprinkle settlement policies everywhere :D
