Either way, our schizophrenic policy which leaves us with a porous border and lots of people here insecurely, doesn't do much good.
Your such a hypocrite if you honestly think you wouldnt do the same thing to try to support your family or loved ones.
Ive been to mexico, in many places its like IMPOSSIBLE to find work.
Bush is irrelevant to this subject... (and well all other cohesive political ideas)Nah, the bush administration is VERY xenophobic. The next big thing to them besides the war in iraq, is trying to get rid of all the illegal immigrants (another hopeless task).
Everything a politician does is a publicity stunt.Thats what you call a publicity stunt.![]()
Even though it was after the election it still has its uses.
If not i really cant imagine it, because thats really not his character. Hard to imagine...

Bush has been for immigration amnesty for quite a while now if I recall correctly.
There wouldnt be so many illegals if we actually gave them a chance to come here legally.![]()
The wall in particular is a publicity stunt.Wow?![]()
I guess all that talk about building a wall was just from republican congressmen then.![]()

Ask yourself that to those poor people from mexico who cant even find a job or support thier family.
Do you think they choose to break the law because they want to? No, its because the other alternative is to have a lot of money and time. The process takes years.
Not only that many people cant afford the plane ticket.
An honest, practical solution would be to reform the process to become a legal citizen (make it easier, or at least make it quicker)...stick national guardsmen from Arizona, New Mexico and Texas on the boarder, and impose stiffer penalties.
Its impractical to deport all of the ones that are already here...we dont have the resources, and it will do nothing to address the root of the problem...but it isnt something we can ignore. We have to address everything, or this will bite us in the ass every 5 years.
But alot of these people are hard working individuals who want to work, and should work, why cant we grant citizenship to them?

Fine them and then toss them back across the border. If they try again, double the fine.

Most of them are coming over here to earn money because they are dirt poor over there.
I'd let them compete in the job market like everyone else with the same legal protections as everyone else.
If we are a free country we should start acting like it. And after that we can start with the patriot act by litting that mother***** on fire.

I hope you realize you are not "better" for being born in America. You are "lucky."we are a free nation to our people, we are not entitled to offer freedom to any citizen of another nation, to be excat naturlized citizens are entitled to more rights than imigrants with citizenship
They aren't citizens with US leal protections. And Free in what way? Free to break the laws?
Law this and law that. You can outlaw anything, but is the law just and fair?
Laws have been made to do all kinds of horrible things, just because a bunch guys sat down and wrote a edict on a piece of paper doesn't mean it should be followed.
Right, so if your for this, why have citizenship at all for any country? If your concept of a citizen is someone who snuck into your country covertly, why have citizenship at all? Why don't you complain about the Mexican government, which has hypocritically persued the same policies that it condemns in the U.S. Why don't you condemn, every nation which practices immigration law. No other country allows people to come and go as citizens without any form of immigration process. Doesn't that tell you something?Law this and law that. You can outlaw anything, but is the law just and fair?

You mean like the Texas National Guardsmen on the boarder in Laradeo, Brownsville, El Paso, and a dozen other little towns and check points across the boarder? Because the US government wouldnt do anything, the Texas Govoner sent troops down to the Boarder.
