I'm always bleedin' sick

600g of veg isn't a lot when you think about all the veg you eat throughout the day.

In the UK the rule is 5 portions of fruit and vegetables.

600g? Isn't that a bit much?

Here in the Netherlands the 'rule' (the government ads) is 200g and two pieces of fruit.

I should clarify, it's 600g vegetables and fruit.

600g is the goverment recommodation in Denmark. I guess it's a bit much, but it's not totally impossible to achieve if you eat salads to your dinner and get some fruit during the day.

Yeah, I ate and orange and a plum today, and I'll have a banana when I get home.

According to http://nutritiondata.self.com/
Orange = 130g
Plum = 70g
Banana = 120g

That's already 320g of fruit by itself, and that's just snack food -- I haven't even counted any vegetables I had with my lunch or will have with dinner.

We have a winter break (a month long in school, January) and when I'm on the break I never get sick but as soon as I go to school I immediately get sick, in fact I'm sick now. The virus travels quickly when you have 20-30 people in a room all talking and possibly touching at some point eachother or using common objects, only 1 is necessary to infect 4, 4 to infect 16 and so on it spreads

On QI recently they listed the recommended amount of fruit and veggies per country, and they were all wildly different. I think there's a sense of how far can we go and actually make them do it about it all.

And yeah, I think it's the kids as well. Friends have one who just went to kindergarten and they were more often sick as well. Just think of the anti-bodies you're producing and how much more resilient your immune system will be :) (Is there actually some truth to thatl?)

I never used to be sick but now I'm always gettin colds and things. Do you reckon it's because I live with three people who spend the day in rooms fulla kids? Anyone else get this?

How often are your colds, how is your energy when you aren't sick, and how often do you find yourself blowing your nose when you aren't sick?

Six kilos of melons a day? I assume you wear diapers.

Doesn't give me the runs at all. I've eaten a whole 20lb melon before. Granted alot of weight is in the shell but I reckon I've eaten at least 10 pounds before. No big deal.
