Of course, Second World refers to the former Eastern Bloc, so I don't think you mean 'second world.'
My grandfather is from Haiti, so watch what you saying there!and imo a new definition 4th world should be added for Zimbabwe, Haiti and Afghanistan and whoever else. Pretty much 'failed' nations.
If Poland is second world, then all of the first world is Second world...
Imo 1st world is Canada, USA, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Israel, and all of Europe that i don't cover in 2nd world.
2nd world is Latin America aside a few, South Africa, China, Some Gulf countries, South Korea, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Turkey, Some parts of former Yugoslavia
3rd world would be the rest

South Korea is just as developed as Japan and Australia...
I've heard that some of the more rural areas aren't nowhere near the level of their cities, which is why i put it there, but i guess i was wrong. They can go to 1st world i guess.
@Cheezy, if you aren't going to contribute, do not post.
My contribution right now is as relevant as yours. And do not act as if you have control over this thread, there is established precedent that OPs have no special rights.
You find personal anecdotes more credible than mainstream news?
Joecoolyo said:Well that can go for any 1st world nation. I've heard areas of Appalachia (very rural areas around the Appalachian mountains), still look like 3rd world nations. What I guess can be a considering factor is where most of the population lives, which of course, in S. Korea, is in the urban areas. And those urban areas are pretty much 1st world, so they seem more suited for 1st world than second.

Question 1: By watching the documantary, what conclusion can you make about the living conditions in the developing world?"
It pissed me off, people in Latin America don't live in mud huts, do have access to fresh water, the average pay cheque for the day involves alooooot more then 1$ per day, and the health and education system is not that much worse then in America and Canada for gods sakes...

Actually, i wonder, if you cut out the poorest 5% of latin American demographics, how would the demographics look like? I'm sure it would skyrocket if you deleted the barrios.
I believe those are the small, poorer residential neighborhoods that are on the outskirts of Caracas and other Venezuelan cities.Wait, a small question, what are the "barrios"?

not just Venezuelan cities, all latin cities have barrios (and i think use the term barriors).I believe those are the small, poorer residential neighborhoods that are on the outskirts of Caracas and other Venezuelan cities.
