But exiting the European Union was supposed to help keep the jobs in, because everyone is evil and takes their jobs away…

But the good times are just around the corner
Time for party.

I dont know how you can have two newspapers with completely opposite views on the state of the economy
Its like two realities.

BREXIT BONANZA: UK investors predict good times ahead as confidence hits 'RECORD levels'

The feel-good factor, revealed in a survey commissioned by financial services experts True Potential, is at odds with the pessimism peddled by Project Fear.

Senior partner Daniel Harrison said: "People are rightly taking a pragmatic view and remain upbeat despite all the scare stories.

Malcolm McLean, Senior Consultant at Barnett Waddingham, said: "The prophets of doom have had their say and judging by the latest figures and other available evidence have thankfully largely been proved wrong.

It's the Express. It's the Daily Mail for old people and those still in love with Princess Diana.

But Charles is not the King.

Sort of begs the question what any of it has to do with the EU?

Except maybe portion of the British might just generally delusional?

Strong retail sales growth.

The fact is there was a dip in some sectors but it appears things are beginning to bounce back. Now it is clear that the UK will be able to maintain free trade with the EU and in the medium to long term most of the world's large economies have lined up and said they very much want to fast track free trade with the UK. The US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, China, India, Japan, and South Korea have all said they want to sigb free trade deals with the UK ASAP. Even in the short term the ~4% drop in the pound had resulted in growing exports.

Well, we haven't actually had Brexit yet.

How soon is ASAP in this context?

The New Year, presumably. But if that 'soon' is on the same level as 'extra funding for the NHS', I might even be collecting my pension before Brexit happens.

Sadly, negotiations can not begin until two years after exit papers are filled. Which hasn't happened yet.

Financially and economically the EU will have to agree to continued free trade. Tge UK will probably have to give in some what on free movement but access to welfare by noncitizens will probably get cut. We may also see nonEU citizens, such as asylum seekers, losing free movement rights to the UK.

Lol. "Will have to agree to continued free trade" is a fantasy. Huge compensations will have to be given by the UK

Maybe it's just me, but I consider that quite inhuman. Granted, I'm thinking about refusing people access to public healthcare specifically, but if people need welfare and it is denied to them, it probably violates some human right or other.

It's totally just you.
