How low can these guys get?
Sir John Major already described the referendum campaign as a Blue-on-Blue fight. Elements on both sides are at fault, though as far as I know, no one on the Remain side has yet invoked Hitler or the Nazis multiple times.
How low can these guys get?
That's probably because Hitler wanted England to become part of a German-dominated pan-European state.![]()
The dear lady is ninety, after all, but that doesn't mean that British mentality should be frozen in aspic ever since 1945.

Well, we have not developed carbonite yet.The dear lady is ninety, after all, but that doesn't mean that British mentality should be frozen in aspic ever since 1945.
It was also seventy frigging years ago. Are we still so small-minded that our instant 'go-to' reference for nasty Europeans is Adolf Hitler?
Absolutely, which is why (at the very best) comparing anything but the worst atrocities to the Nazis and/or Hitler is just going to sidetrack whatever point you're trying to make. Anything else and you just look nasty, racist or tragically small-minded.
Jo Cox MP critically injured amid shooting reports
An MP is in a critical condition after she was shot and stabbed during an attack in her constituency.
Eyewitnesses said Jo Cox, 41, Labour MP for Batley and Spen, was left bleeding on the ground by her attacker. A man also suffered slight injuries.
A 52-year-old man was arrested near Market Street, Birstall, West Yorkshire Police said. The MP holds a weekly advice surgery nearby.
Ms Cox's assistant confirmed she had been attacked.
The MP was taken by ambulance to Leeds General Infirmary, where armed police are stationed outside.

"When I looked round there's a man stood there in his 50s with a white baseball cap on and a jacket with a gun, an old fashioned looking gun in his hand," he said.
"He shot this lady once and then he shot her again, he fell to the floor, leant over shot her once more in the face area.
"Somebody tried to grab him, wrestling with him and then he wielded a knife, like a hunting knife, just started lunging at her with a knife half a dozen times. People were screaming and running from the area".

It doesn't say in that article, but from NRK (also, see the link below) reports that the attacker shouted "Britain first!". Has the debate reached the level where political terrorism is necessary?
Aren't you guys on the islands starting to take this thing a bit too serious?
