This guy is a complete fool for making such statements. Is the far-right so desperate to stay relevant in our society that they now have to make threats of violence against the federal government? Jindal should be removed from office immediately and stand trial for what amounts to making criminal threats against the federal government.

"I can sense right now a rebellion brewing amongst these United States," Jindal said, "where people are ready for a hostile takeover of Washington, D.C., to preserve the American Dream for our children and grandchildren."

"I am tired of the left. They say they're for tolerance, they say they respect diversity. The reality is this: They respect everybody unless you happen to disagree with them," he said. "The left is trying to silence us and I'm tired of it, I won't take it anymore."

They'd have to arrest half the population if that were the case. Lots of people hate Washington and would like to burn it down.

Jindal is just making Presidential candidate noises.

You know, a state created by a rebellion and then ended by one would be an ending that could be called "ironic".

But chances are, the said "rebellion" won't really happen.

Sounds like Jindal is trying to talk his way into the clown car known as the GOP primary.

What do republican primary candidates run on these days ? A new civil war ?

You'll get your medicare, tax breaks for the rich and best of all, restoration of slavery!

Jindal spoke at the annual conference hosted by the Faith and Freedom Coalition
Says all you need to know.

From their website
"Freedom regards religion as the companion in all its battles and all its triumphs as the very cradle of its infancy and the source of all its claims.... because religion alone is the safeguard of morality, and morality is the best and surest pledge for the survival of freedom.”

-Alexis de Tocqueville

So in short, they're a bunch of lunatics and therefore fall within the target audience of the new loonicized GOP.

There is already a thread on this "conference" of 150 like-minded attendees.

Far-right Christians Mad As Hell That Obama Acts Like He Lives In A Secular Society

JR is right. Jindal is just trying to secure his seat on the clown car.

Is he fomenting sedition by calling for the violent overthrow of the government? Apparently not since not one of these far-right authoritarians has yet to be arrested by other far-right authoritarians actually trying to "silence" their pointless incessant whining.

Well, already two formaldehyde buzz-terms in one reply. My formaldehyde buzzword bingo may well provide a bingo with this thread! :goodjob:

Jindal has clearly decided that being the party of stupid is a good career move.

As you continue to jerkishly try to discuss me instead of the topic. :crazyeye:

So which term do you think is so inappropriate given that they are all far-right Christian authoritarians? :rotfl:

Its funny, he whines about liberals being intolerant but when they are democratically elected and doing things he doesnt want to tolerate, its time to violently rebel.

Its funny how the republicans dont get it. Democrats are by no means popular, but the republicans constant attempts to pander to the religious and radical wings of their part mean the average voters keep going democrat just enough to keep the republicans out of power.

Basic GOP strategy since Regan, or after Regan?

I'm thinking the groundwork was laid during the Regan years, but it wasn't really a "strategy" until Rove realized that while you can't fool all the people all the time, you might be able to fool 51% of them more than long enough.

Its funny, he whines about liberals being intolerant

I can understand his peevishness. A fundamental problem with contemporary American politics is that it's really, really hard to say the equivalent of "Your claims are demonstrably wrong, and were the last 10 times you made them." without hurting someone's feelings.

Heck, it's hard to even say something like that without wanting to hurt the jerk's feelings. We're human. Do we not bleed? Do we not - if hearing yet another reactionary, anti-intellectual rant in support of some racial or religious wedge issue, or backing a rapacious, anti-egalitarian, and counter-productive economic policy - get tetchy?

It mostly came after. When the Republican base felt betrayed by GHW Bush's attempts to be a serious leader, that's the real start of it.

Half? Doesn't Congress have like a 80% disapproval rating?

Actually, it is 93%.

There is a lot of anger against America's richest city, Washington D.C.

http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2013...-turned-washington-into-america-richest-city/

Washington, a town that produces absolutely nothing, is now the wealthiest city in America.

Here’s just some of what you'll you'll find out when you watch “Boomtown”:

Long ago, the local Native Americans named the river that runs through the city "Potomac," which means where goods are offloaded, or where tribute is paid. Today, that tribute comes in the form of trillions of dollars of taxpayer money that flood into Washington every year.

While one out of every six Americans worry about where their next meal is coming from, Washington, D.C. has the highest rate of fine wine consumption in the United States.

While one out of four Americans has a mortgage that is under water, seven of the ten wealthiest counties in the United States are counties around this region.

Washington, D.C. now has the highest per capita income in the entire United States. They just passed Silicon Valley.

Washington, D.C. is the new boomtown. America has had boomtowns in the past. San Francisco became one during the gold rush. In Abilene, Texas it happened with cattle. And, of course, it happened in Detroit, during the heyday of the American automobile

You're learn that in Washington, D.C., a place that used to be a town of sleepy bureaucrats, is now a city filled with Maserati dealerships, fine wines, luxurious homes and luxurious shops. It's a Washington, D.C. that a lot of people never see when they tour the Capitol or go to the museums. But it's the Washington, D.C. that reflects the reality of our country today.

The first GOP governor that starts deporting illegal immigrants to D.C. and leaves them there will probably be our next President.

Yep, last I checked Castro was more popular in America than Congress.
